阅读理解

One fresh sunny day, while I was swimming in the water, I felt something special going through my gills(腮). It was a different kind of water. I also found many of my friends became sick. Some of them were dying. I was thinking about what I should do to save my friends, so I decided o do some research for my underwater life.

My research started. At first, I noticed there were many bottles, cans and other kinds of rubbish in the water. Then I went on. I got closer and then I tasted many different kinds of liquid(液体). To my surprise, I noticed a man pouring some liquid into the water. Others also saw him doing so and they decided to follow him. I hated it! I wish I could have told them that it was killing us!

I think it is so stupid for people to do this to the earth that they are living on! I can't understand why they are doing this. Humans should stop throwing waste into the lakes or rivers. I want to have a normal life with my friends. People should stop being so selfish and care about the environment. If they do that, everyone will be fine and will have nothing to worry about. I suggest they follow my words. If so, I believe everyone will be able to live a happy life.

Last week our school held a competition. It was about making money for poor people. "Why don't we make cookies by ourselves and then sell them to make money?" Amy said. The idea  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(听起来) great. Although we never cooked before, we still decided to have a  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(尝 试). We searched for information about how to make  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(美味的) cookies on the Internet. Then we followed the steps to work. When everything was

Micah is my 12-year-olddaugher. We used to do many things together. But these days, "I'm good" is about all she says to me, which means "Leave me alone".

I wondered why she didn't want to do things with me. When I set table for dinner one evening, I heard Micah shout, "Mom, come quickly" I rushed out and found a little baby bird on the ground. My eyes went up to the branches (树枝). For the last few weeks we had watched the bird make a nest and lay eggs there. "The wind must have blown him out of the nest." I said. "No, it was Mr. Whiskers, our cat. You let him go outside !" Micah said.

I realized she was right. So I said sorry and put the bird back. As soon as we went inside, she began to search for what to feed it on the computer carefully. And I found she focused on the screen more than ever before. She didn't even have dinner with me. "It needs a name," Micah said. "How about Chance ? I think he has a good chance of living with your help."I said. "I like it," said Micah.

Early the next morning, I got up to mix the bird food that Micah found on the Internet. But Chance didn't need it, because his mother was back ! Weeks later, we went to check on Chance. The nest was empty. Chance was standing proudly on a branch.He has grown up ! Then I realized Micah wasn't a little girl any longer. She is her own person.

完形填空

My mom used to say that my first words were: "I'll do it myself. "

Maybe it was because I was an only child and she spent hours1 teaching me to entertain myself. My mother called my stubbornness(固执) "independence".

At 12,I made a carpool(拼车)schedule with other students' moms and made a six﹣year plan to attend university. While my parents' friends were telling their 2 to finish their homework,mine didn't care whether I'd do the right thing. They 3 thought I would.

I wanted everyone to think I was perfect. The truth is that while I tried to look 4 ,I felt like phony(骗子).

As life became more complex(复杂的),perfection became 5 to achieve. I panicked(恐慌),pushed myself harder.

Simple tasks felt almost impossible. I 6 playing sports and canceled plans with friends.

My parents became scared. They took me to the doctor. I was diagnosed(诊断)as depressed(抑郁的)and anxious.

After some reflection(反思),I 7 that I couldn't do everything on my own. But that was okay.

Before,I was determined to be the perfect student and child. Now,I was determined to be an imperfect 8 .

So I tried to open up to my loved ones. This helped me deal with my depression and anxiety. I am not 9 for letting others help me through life. If there is any problem,I should talk to the people I love and trust. My parents may be the first 10 ,but I have friends too. They make my life better.
