    When I was in Grade 7, I had no interest in history .I didn't listen {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in class and couldn't finish homework on time. So I didn't do well in this {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    In the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} term, there came a new humorous history teacher. I still had no passion for history. One day, she said,: “We'll have a test in the afternoon ”.Since I wasn't good at history, whenever I {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a history examination, I had to cheat .At that noon, I made lots of cheat sheets quickly.

    In the afternoon, I entered the classroom confidently. Soon my history teacher came in, along with our geography teacher .They both wore mysterious smile on their {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. When the paper was {#blank#}6{#/blank#} out finally ,all of us found it was just a piece of geography paper. I became as {#blank#}7{#/blank#} as a wooden chick at once. Just then, our teachers couldn't help {#blank#}8{#/blank#} loudly. ,which is just like a slap hitting on my face. I only got 12 points that time.

    Later, I {#blank#}9{#/blank#} that day was April Fool's Day, but it wasn't interesting for me at all. It was a deep lesson for me. I learned that if I didn't {#blank#}10{#/blank#} hard, I might be a real fool one day.

    Pablo and I were walking home from playing football. On the way, I told him that our school needed {#blank#}1{#/blank#} football team. At once, Pablo suggested," Why not run for(.竞选) class president so that you can set one up ?"

    "Who would want {#blank#}2{#/blank#} ？"I asked, surprised at the idea.

    Pablo made a list of reasons: I was the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} student of all in sports and lessons; I was {#blank#}4{#/blank#}to everybody. When I told him running for president would be much work, he {#blank#}5{#/blank#} that he would help me.

    I did run, and Pablo did help me. First, we made posters to hang in the hallway. Next, Pablo helped me {#blank#}6{#/blank#} a speech about why I'd make a good class president.

    The big day came. I gave my speech in front of the whole grade, promising my {#blank#}7{#/blank#}that if they chose me, I'd start a football team.

    As Pablo and I nervously waited {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the results, I was told that my speech was so successful {#blank#}9{#/blank#}I was the right person to be class president.
