A Pennsylvania patrol (巡逻) officer rescued（营救）a German shepherd (牧羊犬) from a car accident in South Londonberry.

    Since the rescue, a photo of patrol officer Nick Ague carrying the 1 that his fellow police officers posted to Facebook has got nearly 4,500 likes and tons of 2  comments(评论).

    The act of heroism began on Aug. 11, when Ague heard on the radio that there had been a car 4  nearby, and that two dogs involved in the crash had fled (逃离) from the 5 .

    "I heard other people say they saw a German shepherd 6 ," Ague told ABC News.com. "Based on the location I could 7  the dog was heading west."

    So Ague and a few fellow 8  set out to find the dog, who they later learned was named Mya. They flagged Mya down, 9  every time they stopped their patrol cars, she would run from them. They called Mya's 10 , and when she arrived on the scene, Mya 11  stopped running. And then the dog wouldn't move at all.

    That was when Ague realized something was 12 . He quickly realized that it wasn't that the dog wouldn't move but 13  not move.

    "The dog was not moving because the skin on her feet was hanging off 14  the distance she ran," Ague explained. "She ran two miles from the crash on hot asphalt (柏油).

    "When I realized that's why she couldn't walk," he said, "the 15  thing I could think of doing was to pick her up."

    So he 16  Mya up, who he said weighed around 75 pounds, and 17  her about 100 yards to her owner's car.

    Mya's owner, Megan Smith, said that Mya's feet were already healed(痊愈), and she was now walking 18 .

    Ague, who has a German shepherd of his own and described himself as "a real animal 19 ", said he never thought of doing anything besides 20  Mya.

    Soon, the ambulance13 and several doctors were there to assist you. You appeared 14 as you walked away, as anyone would be. I 15 if this is your first rescue — it doesn't matter. What you did was heroic, and I 16 you.

    Had you been a few seconds later, this 17 could have ended quite differently. You were alert and18 what was going on in the water, responsible for watching over a hundred kids at that time.19 your fear, you took action. Because of you, the little boy and his family are 20together today.

    Around twenty years ago I was living in Seattle and going through hard times. I could not find 1work although I had a lot of experience and a Master's degree.

    To my 2, I had to drive a school bus to 3my family. At the same time, I had some 4with different companies but they all5to say I did not get the job. I went to the bus barn（车库）, feeling6.

    Later that afternoon, 7doing my rounds through the town I had an inner wave rise from deep 8 me and I thought "Why has my9become so hard?"

    One night there was a phone call for me from the16at a large hospital. She asked me whether I17do a one-day training for 200 hospital workers. I said 18and got the job.

    My day with the hospital workers19very well. I got a great20and many more days of work. To this day I know that it was because I changed my attitude to life.

    It was a busy morning, about 8: 30am, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived to have stitches (线) removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry, as he had a/an 1 at 9: 00am.

    I took his vital signs and had him take a 2, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and 3 since I was not busy with another patient, I would assess his wound.

    On 4 it I saw it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors and got the needed supplies to 5 his stitches and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another 6 appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me he needed to go to the nursing home to eat 7 with his wife.

    I inquired as to her 8. He told me that she had been there for a while because she is a 9 of Alzheimer's disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be 10 if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew 11 he was, and that she had not 12 him for five years now.

    I was 13 and asked him, "Do you still go every morning 14 she doesn't know who you are?" He 15 as he patted my hand and said, "She doesn't know me but I 16 know who she is."

    I had to 17 tears as he left. I had goose bumps on my arm and thought, 'That is the kind of 18 I want in my life."

    True love is neither physical nor romantic. True love is a/an 19 of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

    My dad also taught me, by example, that a healthy lifestyle is important. He was 1 ever sick. I don't think my dad ever even had a cup of coffee. He seldom 2 alcohol.

    He just did not complain (抱怨), even when he was uncomfortable towards the end, 8 the cancer that eventually 9 his life. He simply made a 10 to be positive.

    I am so glad that we had the 11 to perform together. I was touched that he tried singing my music, 12 the bluesy style didn't come 13 to him. Then, when I had so much Grammy (格莱美奖) 14 with my album Nick of Time in 1990, I 15, hey, I had one of the greatest 16  of all time in my family. I was very 17 about doing The Boston Pops Show on TV with my dad. To 18  me, he said, "Bonnie, a beautiful song is a beautiful song. Just 19 it." I looked in my dad's 20, and there we were singing the Irving Berlin Song. Of all the duets (二重唱) I've done, that one will always be a highlight.

    Kevin Booth had originally planned to take some free food left outside the Sumner Food Bank for people to take when the bank is closed at night. Instead, he1a brown paper bag outside the front door.

    2that it held food, Booth opened the bag only to see that it contained stacks (摞) of $20 bills. The bag was filled with $17,0003. Needless to say, that money would have made a great difference to Booth, and there was no one around to4that he had taken it.

    But Booth says he knew the money would5more people at the food bank, so he waited until volunteer Anita Miller arrived to6the bank.

    "There are a lot of people who would have 7it," Booth said. "I'm just not that person."

    Miller was8to hear about that, and she9called the police. Though the police reviewed the security footage (监控录像), they were not able to10who dropped off the package. After11the necessary 90 days for someone to claim the cash, they turned it over to the12and honored Booth for his behavior.

    Miller says that she has13the cash with Booth by giving him part of the donation in the form of gift cards.14 he lives in a tent, he has turned down her offers of shelter, although he does 15 her gifts of winter clothes.16, a town citizen has started a GoFundMe campaign to help17money for Booth to buy a car that he dreams of using as shelter.
