    The Dragon Boat Festival has history of over 2,000 years. There are many tales about their origin. The most popular is when the festival is celebrated in honor of Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan was very concerned about his country but was not understanding by the rulers. Feeling desperate, he jumped into the Miluo River on the 5^th day of the 5^th lunar month, 278 BC. Before he died, the fishermen sailed their boats to look up for his body. People throw Zongzi into the water, hoping to prevent possible fish attack his body.
