Venezia is always crowded with visitors from other countries．And in summer it is {#blank#}1{#/blank#}full．

    My husband and I traveled to Venezia by train．I was so excited that I couldn't

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}the night before arriving there．

    The train arrived in Venezia at 8：00 a．m．For one second(秒)I thought I was dreaming, because I couldn't believe that I was really in one of the oldest cities in the world．But it was the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}．

    When we left the train station， {#blank#}4{#/blank#}I found that l was in a different world．I was  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}．Around us，there were no cars or buses．I only found gondolas(威尼斯小划船)in the canals(运河)．I stood outside the train station in {#blank#}6{#/blank#}，looking at the city．

My husband and I {#blank#}7{#/blank#}to enjoy a wonderful panorama(全景)of Venezia by gondola after breakfast．Just at that time I{#blank#}8{#/blank#}that there was no other place in the world like Venezia．It was really wonderful!

     Once there were six blind (失明的) men. They often heard of elephants, but never knew what they {#blank#}1{#/blank#} .One morning, when they knew that a man was riding an elephant down the road, they asked the man to stop so that they could "see" it. They thought that by {#blank#}2{#/blank#}it they could learn what kind of animal it was.

    The first man put his both {#blank#}3{#/blank#}on the elephant's body. "It is like a wall (墙)," he said.

   The second man only touched the elephant's {#blank#}4{#/blank#} .It is not like a wall at all" he said "It's more like a spear(矛)

    The third man touched the elephant's {#blank#}5{#/blank#} nose. You are not righht" he said. This elephant is like a(n){#blank#}6{#/blank#}

    The fourth man touched one of the elephant's {#blank#}7{#/blank#}"Oh, how blind you are!" he said. "It is round and tall like a tree."

    The fifth man was very {#blank#}8{#/blank#} and touched the elephant's ear. "This animal is like a big fan (扇子)," he said.

    The {#blank#}9{#/blank#}man touched the elephant's tail (尾巴). He said, "The elephant is like a rope."

    They all {#blank#}10{#/blank#}each other. The elephant" moved on and the six blind men still talked about it……

    Will Johnson has worked his way up the list of most popular stars in his country. In fact, it is not surprising that Will is so successful if we know about his early life. Some valuable lessons he learnt as a child have strongly influenced him {#blank#}1{#/blank#} his later life. One of them was from his father {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  was strict with him and his brother.

    Once, Will and his brother Harry {#blank#}3{#/blank#} given a job to rebuild a broken brick (砖) wall in the yard. The wall was fifty feet{#blank#}4{#/blank#} and around sixteen feet high. The boys had to mix concrete (水泥) and place only one brick at a time. They didn't know why their father gave them {#blank#}5{#/blank#}a huge job.

    {#blank#}6{#/blank#} , with the attitude (态度) of "one brick more", both Will and Harry rebuilt the wall in {#blank#}7{#/blank#} period of six months. Each time they were about to give up, their father {#blank#}8{#/blank#}them up patiently. Both brothers were so sad about the job at {#blank#}9{#/blank#} , but after completing the task, they felt a sense of pride, and so did their father. Even today when Will thinks that he won't be able to do something, he will look back to his experience and keep telling {#blank#}10{#/blank#}"one brick at a time".
