    Listening, speaking, reading and writing are importance to our study. Of the four skills, I think listening is the harder. I like watching English films but I have trouble understanding the way in that native speakers speak.

    I am not happy with this situation, but last week I have a talk with my friend Wang Ting. She told me some good ways of improve listening. She suggested using my iPad to listen English songs and learn English expression. Besides, she said watching the news and interviews on CCTV9 were also helpful.

    I will do as her advised. I'm sure I will gradual make progress.

    During the vacation, I quarreled with my mother and then we begin to overlook each other.     We have been travelling for more than a week already but arrived in Saudi Arabia today. Most people here wear traditional type of long and loose clothing that cover the whole body. Saudi Arabia is in the desert, and in summer, the weather is extreme hot. One of the tour guide told us that it gets as hotter as 50℃ every summer. Wear this kind of clothing may be very comfortable in that weather, but this is winter and quite cool now. During the day in winter, it was about 22℃ and about 13℃ in the evening. I think I will find the weather a bit of cold when we return to China.

    Last month, China celebrated its 70^th anniversary of its founding. It is known to we all that October 1^st is a National Day of the PRC. In this day, there are usually plenty of celebrations holding all over the country. In recent years, the national holiday also refers to the golden week, what is a mini-holiday that all people look forward to it. With the improvement of people's living standard, they have more money or desire to travel. Beside, it is a good chance have a good rest. Therefore, the National Day mean a lot to the Chinese.
