My six-year-old granddaughter, Cindy, and I stopped at a food shop for some bread. Cindy had1 it for several days. As we were going out of the door, a young teenage boy was coming in.

    The boy had no hair on the side of his head but a set of blue spiked(成锥形的) hair on top of it. His nose was 2 , and a ring ran through the hole. A chain went across his face and it was connected to his earring. He held a skateboard under one arm and a basketball under the other.

    Cindy, who was walking ahead of me, 3stopped when he saw the boy. I thought he had  4 my granddaughter. I was wrong.     This is' a story of a man who worked in a big factory. I got to know him many years ago, but I never paid any attention to him. He always wore an old red hat and carried a rubbish bag. He usually spent his break time and lunchtime walking around in that old big factory to collect the unused tins.

    Today, I was fixing one machine in the factory when this "tin man" came with his bag. As usual, he picked up the tins. My manager was standing there to watch me. He asked the "tin man" what he was going to do with those tins. I never thought about this question, because I always thought that he'd sell those tins for money.

    The "tin man" answered, "I will give these tins to my neighbour. He is ill and he cannot work." I was so surprised to hear that, so I asked him, "You collect all those tins just to help your neighbour? I know this does not help much," he said. "But I will try my best to help him."

    At that time, I found myself standing in front of a great man. This "tin man" only wore a T shirt and an old red hat and carried a rubbish bag, but he was a great man.

    We shouldn't judge a man by his appearance(外表). We should look at his heart.

    Mozart was born on January 27, 1756 and died on December 5, 1791. When he was three, he often had music lessons with his elder sister. His father took him through many different countries, where he played music for lots of people.

    But some people didn't believe a little boy could write such beautiful music. They asked him to stay in a room all by himself for a week and somebody watched the room all the time. In a week, he finished a new piece of music. After that, people believed that he could write beautiful music.

    Mozart died when he was still a young man. During his short life he studied music, taught music, played music and wrote music. Even by working so hard, he couldn't make much money. Often he had to borrow(借入) money from his friends. But his music made him happy and for more than two hundred years his music has made other people happy, too.

When the new term came. I had a new classmate, a little old lady with a warm smile. She said, "Hi, handsome! I'm Rose. I'm 1  years old. Can I give you a hug?" I was a little surprised to see such an old classmate. But I said heartily. "Of course!"

"Why are you  2   at such an age?" I asked. She laughed and joked, "I'm here to meet a husband, get married, have children, and then travel around. "

"No. 3  " I asked, "Tell me the truth. "

"I always dreamed of having a college education. Now I'm getting one!" she told me.

My name is Wang Lin and my English name is Linda. I am 13 years old and I 1 No. 1Middle School of my city. I usually 2 at 7 a. m. in the morning. I have breakfast at home, but I have 3 at school. My school is close to my home, so I have to go to school4

We have eight classes every day. I 5 all the classes, because my teachers can make the classes interesting. My  favourite6 is English, so I go to the English Corner every week. After class, I always 7 with my friends. We play basketball, volleyball, table tennis and so on.
