Miss White: Yes. I want a pair of  sandals, please.

Assistant: What size?

Miss White: Size ten .

Assistant: How about this pair? They are black. They are good.

Miss White: How much are they?

Assistant: They are 160 yuan.

Miss White: Oh. They are too expensive.

Assistant: These brown sneakers are cheaper. They're 30 yuan.

Miss White: OK. I will take them.

Amy： Hi， Sarah. What do you have for lunch?

Sarah： Fish. It's delicious. What about you?

Amy： I have beef and vegetables. I like vegetables. They're fresh and healthy.

Sarah： My favorite food is ice cream. But I can't eat too much.

Amy： Why?

Sarah： Because I'm heavy now. I have to eat more vegetables.

Amy： You're right. We need to have more vegetables and fruit.

Sarah： I know. What's your favorite fruit?

Amy： I like apples. They're sweet.

Sarah： I like apples, too. But bananas are my favorite fruit.

    It's round. It's very hot. It's in the sky. Right, it's the sun. The sun gives us light and makes us warm. In a whole day, the temperature is different because the sun just rises in the morning and sets in the evening. The sun is high in the sky at noon and in the afternoon. No Light means no warm or hot.

    Today is March 15th. I put some flower seeds(种子) into a big pot. I put in some water, too. Now it's in the sun. Today is April 1st. I am so excited. I can see a sprout (芽). It's small and green. It's so lovely. I water it again and put it in the sun.  Today is April 15th. My plant(植物) has two green leaves. I water it every day and make sure it gets lots of sun.  Today is May 1st. My plant is one month old! It's tall and strong, but it has no flowers. Oh, come on! I can hardly wait!

    My name is Tim. I'm nine years old. This is my sister, Alice. She's ten years old. Today is my birthday. We have a big birthday cake. I'd like some milk and cake. But Alice doesn't like cake. She likes apples and juice. What's that? Is that a cat? No, it isn't. It's a toy cat. Look at the head. It's white. Look at the body. It's black. How lovely! We like it.

    Sally's old grandfather lived with her. Every morning he went for a walk in the park and came home at half past twelve for his lunch. But one morning a police car stopped near Sally's house at twelve o'clock, and two policemen helped her grand- father to get out. One of them said to Sally, "The old man lost his way(迷路) in the park and called us for help, so we sent a car to bring him home." Sally was very surprised (惊讶), but she thanked the policemen and they left. "But, grandfather," she asked, "you go to the park every day for twenty years. How did you lose your way (迷路) ?" The old man smiled and said, "I didn't lose my way. I was just tired and didn't want to walk home."
