Jim and Andy are standing at the bus stop and waiting for the No.6 bus. They want to buy some new books. Suddenly（突然）, two men are running past them. A short man is crying,“help! help! Catch（抓住） the thief! Give my bag back to me.”“Oh! That man is a thief!”Jim shouts to Andy. They begin to run after the tall man, and very soon they catch him and get the bag back. The short man runs over and smiles,“Thank you. But we are filming(拍摄)a movie.”

Spiderman(蜘蛛侠) is one of the most famous comic book heroes of all time. He was created by Stan Lee in 1963 and was first introduced to the world in the pages of Marvel comic books.
Spiderman's story is the story of Peter Parker, a child who lost his parents and lives with his aunt and uncle. Peter is a shy, quiet boy wearing glasses and has few friends. One day, on a high school class trip to a science lab, he gets bitten by a special spider. Soon Peter realizes he has amazing powers: he is as strong and quick as a spider and also has a type of sixth sense. He no longer needs his glasses and he can use his super power to fly through the city streets! Remembering something his Uncle Ben has told him, that “with great power, there must also come great responsibility(责任),”Peter decides to use his powers to fight enemies(敌人) who do cruel things to people. And so, Spiderman is born.
Life is not easy for Peter even though he is a superhero. He is in love with Mary Jane but cannot tell her about his amazing powers. Besides, his best friend Harry hates Spiderman! Peter is also short of money and time. He has to sell photos of Spiderman (himself!) to a newspaper and he keeps losing his other jobs because he's so busy saving people! Yet he has to fight different kinds of cruel enemies.

One morning, a blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet .He held a sign which said,“I am blind. Please help me.”
There were only a few coins（硬币） in the hat. A man was walking by. He took out a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat .He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words on it. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by could see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and ask,“Are you the one who changed my sign in the morning? What did you write?”
The man said,“I only wrote the truth. I said what you said, but in a different way.”
What he had written was,“Today is a beautiful day, but I can't see it.”
Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?
Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply told people to help by putting some money in the hat. The second sign told people that they were able to enjoy the beauty of the day, but the boy could not enjoy it because he was blind.
The first sign simply said the boy was blind, while the second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind.
There are at least two lessons we can learn from this simple story.
The first is: Treasure(珍惜)what you have. Someone else has less. Try your best to help those who need your help.
The second is: Be creative. Think differently. There is always a better way.

Last month the manager（经理） of a jewelry shop ( 珠宝店) received a letter. As he was very busy then, the letter lay on his desk till tea-time. He opened it and a 10-pound note(票 ) fell out onto the desk. Within the note was a letter which said:
Dear sir:
In 1935 I got engaged(订婚 ). But unfortunately I lost my job. At the time a lot of people were out of work. Six months later I got a job again, but of course I was very short of money. I came to your shop to buy a wedding ring(婚戒 ). The assistant took out some rings for me to look at, but she was called away for a moment, and I put one of the rings in my pocket. When she came back, I said I didn't know the size of my girl's finger. So I left the shop without buying a ring.       Last July, my 12-year-old car died on California's Santa Freeway. It was an hour before sunset, and I was 25 miles from home. I couldn't reach anyone to pick me up, so I decided to take a bus. Not knowing the routes, I thought I'd just go east.
   A bus stopped. I got on and asked the driver how far she was going, "Ten more miles," she said. There was another bus I could take from there. This clearly was going to be a long night.
      I got off at the end of the route and she told me which bus to look for. After waiting 30 minutes, I began to think about a very expensive taxi ride home. Then a bus came up. There was no lighted number above its windshield. It was out of service, but the door opened. It was the same driver.
   “I just can't leave you here,” she said. “This isn't the nicest place. I will give you a ride home.”
   “You will drive me home on the bus?" I asked, astonished.
   “No, I will take you in my car,” she said.
   “It's a long way," I insisted.
   “Come on, ” she said. “I have nothing else to do.”
   As we drove from the station in the car, she began telling me a story, A few days earlier, her brother had run out of gas. A good man picked him up, took him to a service station and then back to his car. “I'm just passing the favor(善意的行为) along,” she said.
   When I offered her money as a thank-you, she wouldn't accept. “Just do something nice for somebody. Pass it along," she said.

Long long ago in England, there lived a man named Robin Hood. Robin Hood lived with other men in a forest, Sherwood Forest. Robin Hood was a thief — a different kind of thief. He stole from the rich and gave what he stole to the poor. Poor people didn't need to worry about going into Sherwood Forest. Robin Hood often gave them money.

Everyone in England knew about Robin Hood. The king was angry! He didn't want a thief to be a hero. He sent his men to Sherwood Forest to catch Robin Hood. But they weren't able to catch him.

The king wanted to meet Robin Hood and knew what kind of person he was. One day, he dressed himself up as a poor man, and then he went to Sherwood Forest to see Robin Hood. After the king talked to Robin Hood, he liked him very much. He said, “I like you very much, but I have to tell you the truth.”

He told Robin Hood who he really was. Robin Hood was not angry. He laughed and laughed. The king invited(邀请) Robin Hood to come and live in the castle. The castle was 20 miles away. Robin had to walk south, cross a river, turn left and then turn left to get there.
