    It was March 8th, Women's Day. I decided to do something for my mom and give her a surprise.

    Immediately after school, I went to the supermarket, when I bought plenty of vegetables, fish and meat. As soon as I arrived home, I started to prepare the dinner for Mom. It was the first time that I had cooked something on my own. Not knowing the exactly process to cook. I read some recipes first. Keep what I had learned in mind, I got down with cooking. Almost an hour later, three simple but delicious dishes were ready on the table.

    Since Mom couldn't get home until thirty minutes later, I started to do some cleaning. It was not difficult for me. Mopping thoroughly , the floor was quite clean.

    No sooner had everything been ready Mom came back. I couldn't wait to show what I had been done for her. A big smile with both surprise and satisfy spread on Mom's face when she found the hearty（丰盛的）dinner and the tidy room. At that moment, pride rose from a bottom of my heart. Although she fell a little tired, everything was worthwhile.

    It is true that men are increasing likely to take on the role of househusband, while more women than ever is the breadwinners in their families. There could have several reasons for this. It has become socially acceptable for men stay at home and look after his children. At the same time, the rising cost of living has meant that both marriage partner usually need to work or save money before starting a family. Therefore, when couples have children, they may decide who works and who stays at home, depend on the personal preference of each partner, or based on what partner earns more money.

    I went to the seaside to spending my summer holiday with my family. We stayed there for about two week. The weather was much hotter than in my hometown, but I got used to it or felt at home. Every morning, I got up early than my parents and went for breakfast ahead of the time. Then I went to have a chat with my new friend, John, whom I happen to come across during my holiday. Dear Henry,

    I'm more than delighted to hear of you. As for the ancient Chinese poems what impress me most, I'd like to share one with you.

    The poem is The Awaiting Stone by Wang Jian, one of the most famous poet in the Tang Dynasty. The poem sings high praise for a wife's love for her husband. Every time I read the poem, a sad-looking woman stands in the rain and wind seems to appear in the front of me, waiting for her husband to return. The poem rhyme and is very short, which makes it easy understand. That's because it has been popular ever since.

    I hope you will like them and the Chinese culture as well.

    Yesterday, I took a walk in the Panzhihua Park with my parents. The beautiful flowers were in various color. We were enjoying the scenery around when something unpleasant catch my attention. Not far from us, the middle-aged woman was eating some oranges while chat with her friends. In my surprise, she threw the orange skin on the ground, totally ignoring the sign nearby which was read “No Littering”. I think it is not a good behavior throw rubbish somewhere, and all of us should love our environment. As visitors, you should do something to protect the park after it becomes a huge dustbin.
