Polar bears are suffering in a (warm) world than ever before. Polar bears live in environments too cold for most animals. During much of the year, they live and hunt on the (freeze) Arctic sea ice. Nature has prepared them for the cold conditions but nothing has prepared the bears for the danger that (threat) the only home they know. The scientists have drawn a (conclude) that the polar bears' world is melting. Studies show that the polar ice has reduced9.8% every 10 years since 1978. Now about 20,000 to 25,000 polar bears live in the Arctic. Polar bears depend on the sea ice for their (survive). "The sea ice is more than just this platform that the bears walk over." As Andrew Derocher, a scientist who studies North American polar bear populations puts , "Only if polar ice melts quite slowly they survive on the earth." Some melting and refreezing of the polar ice is natural. in a warmer world, these cycles speed up, and bears have less time to hunt. Normally, they have three months in the spring when they gain more weight. The extra fat is used later, the bears are not actively hunting.

China's Chang'e 5 mission successfully delivered samples(样本)of moon rock and dust to Earth on December 17, 2020. It{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(mark) the first time in 4 years that moon rocks have been brought back to our planet, since the Soviet Union's I.una 24 mission in 1976.

The sample capsule landed in Inner Mongolia{#blank#}2{#/blank#}a little after 2:00 a. m. Recovery teams in trucks and helicopters located the landing site shortly after and secured the sample{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(contain).

While Apollo-era moon rocks are estimated to be about 3 to 4 billion years old, the material{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(collect) by Chang'e 5 is from a site in the northwest region of the moon's near side. This area was formed{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(late), and the rocks here are thought to be only about 1.2 billion years old. That means scientists could learn more about the evolution of the moon and test out new techniques for estimating the age of geological samples from other{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(planet)and moons(卫星).

The Chang'e lunar program, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}includes landing two lunar rovers(月球车)on the moon's surface, has been{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(remarkable)successful. Although Chang'e 5 was a short mission, it's one of{#blank#}9{#/blank#}most complex projects undertaken by the Chinese space program so far. The country is far from done with the moon—Chang'e 6, a second lunar sample return, is scheduled{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(launch) in 2023 or 2024.
