Controlling your food longings and dropping pounds fast is easy: Just eat break-fast. The editors of Eat This, Not That! Carried out researches to determine some best breakfast foods for weight loss.

    Black Beans

    Protein, per 1/2 cup: 7g

Black beans will not only fill you up for hours but also help slim you down. Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center researchers found that with black beans consumed daily, study participants' fat reduced by 4 percent over two years.

    Peanut Butter

    Protein, per 2 tbsp(汤勺): 7-8g

While processed peanut butter is filled with sugar and oils, the real stuff is made with just two ingredients: salt and peanuts. The peanut is filled with heart-healthy monounsaturated(单一不饱和的) fats. Nutritionist and personal trainer Kristin Reisinger suggests using the healthy fat in an AM smoothie.

    Almond Butter

    Protein, per 2 tbsp: 7-8 g

“Almond butter is high in protein, fiber and monounsaturated fats,” says Martha McKittrick, RDN, CDE." Studies have also shown that people who eat nuts are less likely to become overweight than those who avoid them, likely because it helps you feel fuller.” To get the benefits at breakfast, McKittrick suggests spreading some nut butter on the whole grain toast.

    Eggs

Protein, per two large eggs: 13 g

“Eggs are an excellent source of protein and other healthy nutrients including fat-burning choline(胆碱),” says McKittrick. Choline, also found in lean(瘦的) meats, seafood and collard greens, attacks the gene mechanism that causes your body to store fat around your liver(肝脏), according to Zero Belly Cookbook. The more eggs you eat, the less egg-shaped you get.

Spring Discovery

This spring, we will gather in the forest to play games, tell stories around the fire, explore the nature and so much more!

Join us for any of the Kestrel Sundays!

Together, we will safely explore the nature and build lasting friendships with each other and stay in the village where the children have enriched each summer at camp.

Children walk away from Kestrel feeling at home in nature and at home in themselves.

Each day begins with a morning circle where thanksgiving, songs and games bring us further into our bodies. The days are filled with nature-based games that expand our awareness, storytelling from skilled instructors and visiting elders, songs inspired by nature's beauty, exploring the forest and looking for mysteries, sculpting clay, and wandering the caves. At the end of the day, with leaf and flower on our heads, our faces painted and smiles on our faces, we'll return!

Kestrel is where your child will:

Play and explore the beautiful outdoors.

Experience and practice a variety of wilderness skills and native technology.

Practice awareness, quiet-mind, animal forms, curiosity, exploration, telling the story of the day, and gratitude.

Face personal and group challenges tailored to build awareness, self-confidence and group unity.

Our Kestrel instructors are experts in guiding children to safety and freely move in the direction of their own curiosity.

A man walked into a small Irish pub and ordered three beers. Bartender was surprised, but he served that man three beers. One hour later the man ordered three beers again. The very next day that man ordered three beers again and drank quietly at a table. This repeated several times and shortly after the people of the town were whispering about the man, who was ordering three beers at once.

A couple of weeks later, the bartender decided to clear this out and inquired: “I do not want to pry, but could you explain, why do you order three beers all the time?” The man replied: “It seems strange, isn't it? You see, my two brothers live abroad at the moment, one – in France and another – in Italy. We have made an agreement, that every time we go to pub each of us will order extra two beers and it will help keeping up the family bond”.

Soon all the town have heard about the man's answer and liked it a lot. The man became a local celebrity. Residents of the town were telling this story to newcomers or tourists and even invited them to that pub to look at Three Beer Man.

However, one day the man came to pub and ordered only two beers, not three as usual. The bartender served him with bad feeling. All that evening the man ordered and drank only two beers. The very next day all the town was talking about this news, some people pray for the soul of one of the brothers, others quietly grieved.

When the man came to pub the next time and ordered two beers again, the bartender asked him: “I would like to offer condolences to you, due to the death of your dear brother”. The man considered this for a moment and then replied: “Oh, you are probably surprised that I order only two beers now? Well, my two brothers are alive and well. It's just because of my decision. I promised myself to give up drinking.”

While it's books that make a library, being in lovely surroundings may provide inspiration and help you work a little bit harder. Here are some of the coolest libraries of the world.

Library of Birmingham – Birmingham, U.K.

The new Library of Birmingham is said to be not only Britain's biggest public library, but also the largest in Europe. Designed by Dutch architects, this replacement for the Birmingham Central Library was opened in 2013 and has a wealth of resources within its walls, including adults and kids' libraries, music collections, a Shakespeare Memorial Room, and even a gym room. Gardens crown the roof, while the changing seasons bring variations in the shadows and reflections inside.

National Library of France – Paris, France

The National Library of France, which now contains an astonishing collection of 30 million, dates back to the 14th century and this royal library was set up at the Louvre by King Charles V. The Library was moved to Rue de Richelieu site in 1868, with major design work carried out by French architects Henri Labrouste and, following his death, Jean-Louis Pascal. Here, the reading rooms are elegance itself. There are more than just books to be found.

State Library of New South Wales – Sydney, Australia

The public State Library of New South Wales holds the honor of being the oldest institution of its kind in Australia. It was originally set up as the Australian Subscription Library in 1826, but it wasn't until 1942 that its permanent home was ready. Designed by Sydney architect Walter Liberty Vernon and completed in 1910, the magnificent sandstone Mitchell Wing is one of the architectural highlights.

Seattle Central Library – Seattle, Washington, USA

Seattle Central Library's distinctive design ensures it stands out. Architect Rem Koolhaas is one of the names attached to its design. Architects sought to envelop the 11-story building with “a layer of transparency”, using a skin of glass and metal. The finished article houses about 1.45 million books and other things, as well as more than 400 computers available for public use. The building, which opened in 2004, was included on the American Institute of Architects' list of America's 150 favorite buildings in 2007.
