The winter vacation is coming. 1 are you going to do during the vacation? Let's see Liu Fei's plans. First, Liu Fei is going to 2 at least two books. Reading is one of her favorite 3.     In the spring of 2019, I went to watch the movie The Wandering Earth《流浪地球》. It is very exciting.

    In the movie, the Earth is about to hit Jupiter (木星). Everybody lost hope in saving the earth, but a boy called Liu Qi. He thought up a wonderful idea at the last minute. However, there isn't enough help. There is not much time left for people to get together with their families again. Liu's sister then teaches people a lesson about what hope is. The lesson touches people's hearts and changes their minds, they are all ready to save the earth at last.

    The love in Liu's family is really touching. I cried when Liu's grandfather died. All he cares about is his grandchildren's safety. Although Liu seems to dislike his father. When his father decides to help him out, Liu shouts and tries hard to stop his father. His father loves his son so deep. Their talk before their last goodbye made me cry again.

    At last, people save the earth successfully. I believe Liu's family will love each other more. Where there's life, there's hope. As long as we join hands with each other. We can make anything come true. It is an important lesson I learned from the film.

    A girl went to her father to ask for his advice. She was having a hard time in life. It seemed that when one problem disappeared, another one appeared. It was terrible!

    Her father, a cook, took her into the kitchen. He poured water into three pans (平底锅) and put them on to boil (煮). After the water boiled, he put some carrots into the first pan, some eggs into the second pan and coffee into the last one.

    After 20 minutes, her father turned off the stove (炉子), took out the carrots and eggs and put them in a bowl. He poured the coffee into a cup.

    "Dear, what do you see?" he asked his daughter.

    "Carrots, eggs, and coffee", she said.

    "Touch the carrots," he told her. She did and felt that the carrots were soft (软的) . After that he asked her to take an egg and break it. She found that the egg was hard (硬的). At last, her father asked her to taste the coffee.

    "What's the meaning, Father?" she asked.

    "The strong and hard carrots became soft and weak after boiling. The fragile (脆弱) eggs became hard in the boiling water. The coffee beans were very special, but they changed the water around them." her father said, "As you can see, each thing reacted differently to the boiling water"

    "Who are you?" asked her father. "When you have problems, what will you do? Are you carrots, eggs, or coffee?"

    Fights at school sometimes happen. But how can you keep away from a fight? Here's something you can do.

    Becalm (冷静). Sometimes, you feel so angry that you really want to teach somebody a lesson. But being angry can't solve problems. Neither can a fight. Instead, it may bring you more problems. In the school, everyone involved (卷入) in a fight will be punished, no matter who started it. There are no winners in a fight.

    Shout loudly. If you know someone is coming up behind you to attack (攻击), turn toward the person with your hands up in front of your body and loudly say "stop" before walking away. Loud voice can usually make the attacker calm down. If the person doesn't stop, cry for help by calling out the name of a teacher whose office is nearby.

    ________ Your friend may ask you to join in a fight. Learn to say no. Helping him fight is not really helpful to him. If you really want to give him a hand, try to ask him to give it up. Also, you can tell him if he gets involved in a fight, he may get hurt and be punished. Then, try to learn why he wants fight and help him find right way to deal with the problem.

    My family love travelling. Last summer we went on holiday to Ningxia. We had been there (两次). It's a wonderful place where there are beautiful  (建筑物)and interesting people. But this time I had an unpleasant  (经历)in a restaurant.

    On the second day we (计划)to see an old town. The hotel manager said we could get there by bus in two hours. (然而), the hot bus ride took us over four hours. We were so hungry that we had some noodles in a small restaurant. We were (吃惊的)to find them quite nice. Then I saw a man eat some little meatballs. I bought some, too. I ate the first one very quickly. I was just eating the second one when I felt(我自己)burning—my mouth was on fire! I coughed badly and there were tears in my eyes. I wasn't even (能)to describe how spicy(辣的) it was!

    I drank about ten glasses of water. Everyone else saw me and (笑)at me. It was really the (最坏的)trip in my life!

A group of boys stood around a tree." a tall tree!"" They said to each other," "It would be exciting to climb to the top."

The group of boys then wanted to play a game to see who could climb to the top of the tree first. Their mothers were (sit) not far away, looking at their children as they played.

One of the (boy) was an 8-year-old boy named David. He was the (short) in the group. Nobody thought he could win the competition.

     Then the game started. All of the boys tried their best. David didn't climb fast first, but he was the first to get to the top in the end.

His mother was proud. She asked, "David, how did you get to the top of the tree so (quick)?"

"It was easy,"" David said, "the other boys were looking when they climbed. They were so afraid they couldn't climb fast. But I was looking up when I climbed. I was happy (find) I was close to the top, so I climbed fast."

It is true in life that we just keep going up and never look back, we will probably make our dreams come true.

Do you often make a resolution on New Year's Day？What will you do for it？Here's some advice on how to make a good resolution.

First，you should know what your goal is. Ask yourself what you want to do in the next year.

Holding a goal isn't enough. You need to think out some clear steps for the resolution. So make your plan. A good plan will tell you what to do next and how to make the goal come true at last. Making a plan is very important.

If you make your plan later，you may forget your resolution gradually（逐渐地）. It's important that you are making your plan right now.

You should write your resolution and plan in some places，such as a notebook or your diary.

Nothing big can be finished in one day. You make a resolution in one day. It doesn't mean you must finish it in one day. It may need a hundred small steps. New Year's resolution should be a starting point. You must keep a habit for achieving（实现） your resolution gradually.
