Parent-Teacher Conference

    On Friday, September 25, we are going to have a day where parents can come and meet their children's teachers. There will be several meetings and events during the day.

    I hope you can make it to some of all of them.

    ●All parents must send notes to school with their children saying if they are going to come before Wednesday. We need to know how many meetings to plan and how much food to make.

    Last year, I had a chance to visit Zhengzhou and experienced one shared bike for the first time.

    When I was downloading the Mobike's app, a man rode one past me. I admired him so much. After downloading it, I began to look for a Mobike on my way to the hotel.

    To my disappointment, the only Mobike in the busy street was broken. Suddenly, one near the bank caught my attention. I ran to it immediately, but was again disappointed to find that its QR code (二维码) was broken. But everything comes to those who wait Finally, I found my Mobike in a narrow street.

    Your third year of middle school was probably a difficult and busy time. You may have had trouble getting enough sleep. We all know that not getting enough sleep is not good for our health. But it has be found that less sleep could even cause you to have fewer friends, the Guardian reported.

    According to researchers from the University of California, people who don't get enough sleep are less willing to socialize(社交)with others. They are simply too tired to go out.

    The researchers did a small study. They tested 18 young people who had just had a good night's sleep -as well as tested them again after a sleepless night. The participants watched videos of people with expressions walking toward them. When the person on the video got too "close" to them, they pushed a button to stop the video, which recorded how close they allowed the person to get.

    The results showed that the participants kept the person at a further distance if they hadn't gotten enough sleep. They might think the person intruded their personal space. But when the participants got a good night's sleep, they allowed the person to get much closer to them.

    According to a lead researcher Matthew Walker, the less sleep you get, the less you want to socialize with others. In turn, other people may think you look strange and stay away from you. This can make you feel lonely and cause you to sleep even less. It becomes a vicious cycle (恶性循环).

    So if you want to be a more sociable and popular person, seeping well might help. "One night of good see makes you feel more outgoing and confident." Walker told the Daily Mail.

    Scientists have always wanted to know more about the other worlds in space. Years ago they knew a lot about the moon. They knew how big it is and how far away it is from the earth. As we all know, there is no air or water on the moon.

     It's very hot in the day, but very cold at night. Things are much lighter on the moon than on the earth.  It's like jumping. But you can jump much higher on the moon than on the earth. If you can jump one meter on the earth, you can jump six meters on the moon.

    The moon is about 384,000 kilometers away from the earth. A plane cannot fly to the moon because the air reaches only 240 kilometers high above the earth. Then there is no air.

It can make some cookies, pies and many  of dishes. And the taste of the dishes is very delicious. As a , Mr. King has made a lot of money because of the good business.

    Mr. King has already  away some of his money to lots of homeless people. When he is mentioned by the local people, he is a great hero in  hearts. Mr. King said he used to be very poor when he was young, so he made a decision  the poor when he could make a lot of money. It is always his dream, and now his dream has come true.

    When you are learning English, you find  not clever to put an English sentence, word for word, into your own language. Take the sentence "How do you do?" as an example.

    If you look each word in the dictionary, one at a time, what is your translation? It must be a wrong sentence in your own language.

    Languages do not just have different sounds, they are different in many ways.  important to master the rules for word order in the study of English, too. If the speaker puts  in a wrong order, the listener can't understand the speaker's sentence easily. Sometimes when the order of words in an English sentence is changed, the meaning of the sentence .
