"If you haven't been to Tibet(西藏）before, Tibet is a dream. If you have ever been there, Tibet is a good memory(记忆),"said Li Wan. A graduate from Zhongshan University. Liinterested in Tibet after having worked in a company for less than three months. Since 1998, Li has been spendingof her time on the challenge(挑战). She has been to almost every corner of Tibet during the past several years.
Li's first trip to Tibet was only out of her loving freedom. Although she couldn't say a word of the Tibetan. It did not really stop her from talking with local（当地的）people successfully. "To me，they are free，friendly, happy andnature.
People should live in this way. Singing while, dancing while living，"Li said.
Three rich ladies met every day by the river. They sat there and talked the whole day. Once the three ladies argued. One of them said, "Look！How white and beautiful my hands are！"Another one said, "My hands are more beautiful." The third one said, "Mine are the most beautiful ones. "An old beggar(乞丐)woman came up to them. "Beautiful ladies, "she said, "I'm old and I can't work. I'm hungry. Please give me something to eat. "
But the three ladies gave her nothing. They only asked, "Tell me, old woman, which one of us has the most beautiful hands?"
A farmer woman was also siting by the river. She was poor and her hands were rough because of hard work. The old woman came up to her and said," I'm hungry. Please give me something to eat. "The farmer woman took out her only cake she had and gave her a half.
The old woman ate it and drank some water. Then she took the farmer woman by the hand, brought her before the rich ladies and said," Now, I shall tell you whose hands are the most beautiful. The hands of the poor farmer woman are rough because of work, but they give us food. They are much more beautiful than your hands which have never done anything. "
A poor traveller arrived at a small village. He had no food or money. He only had a cooking pot. He made a small cooking fire，placed his pot on it，and poured in some water. When a few villagers asked 1he was doing，he said that he was making stone soup which was a recipe passed down from his father. He then dropped a round stone into the pot.
Then the traveller told the villagers stories of his travels and the2thing he'd seen. He3his soup and said it was nice，but a bit of salt would be better. One villager went home and came back with some4for the soup.
A few more villagers stopped to see what was going on when they heard the traveller speaking. The traveller told5stories and said that some carrots or onions would be nice to the6soup. So another villager said he could give a few carrots and brought them from his home.
This continued with the traveller asking for onions，a bit of meat，celery，potatoes to the soup.
Finally，the soup was OK and everyone enjoyed the tasty meal.
Mum: What a fine day！Why don't you go outside and e the nice weather, children？You two really need to exercise more.
Kitty: I don't need more exercise. I'm in good shape.
Ben: Me too. I walk dogs in the park after school every day.
Mum: That's not e. Everyone sexercise 30 minutes a day.
Ben: Ware you so worried about health today, Mum？
Mum: Read this article. It says regular exercise is very important to us and it tus how to keep healthy. From now on, we are going to do more exercise every day and eat mhealthy food.
Have you ever been in a rainforest？There aren't any in Europe but there are some in Africa, Asia and South America. I was in a rainforest once. It was hot and dark. It was also very wet. Water was falling from the leaves of the trees like rain. The ground was covered with dead leaves. But there were thousands of new plants growing.
The most exciting plants were the large trees. Some were 50 metres high. I could only see little pieces of blue sky through the leaves. All the trees had small plants growing on them, and some of these had beautiful, brightly coloured flowers.
It was very noisy. I could hear lots of birds. They were hard to see but I saw one green and red parrot flying high above me. It was beautiful. The insects also made a lot of noise and I could feel them on my arms and legs.
I didn't see any monkeys. They were probably sleeping high up in the treetops. I did see a small snake on the ground. I hate snakes so I walked quickly but carefully out of the forest.
I wouldn't like to live in a rainforest but I am happy that I could see one before they all disappear from Earth.
