    Primary school students are being offered a unique choice to school education at The Nature School in New South Wales.

    Half of the school day is spent outdoors learning subjects such as English, maths and science with a on independent thinking, The students enjoy a full outdoor adventure day once a week while outdoor play also takes place every day, whatever the weather.

    FISH

    RABBITS

Once they're used to the new way of life, guinea pigs need daily exercise in a small room without cracks or holes for escape. But following some serious accidents caused by an electric scooter in the UK, questions are being asked about their safety and 3 traffic laws should be changed.

    Some scooter riders have been seen on pavements; others on the road jumping red traffic lights, adding to traffic jams on the road. In the UK, the law says that riding one on the public highway or pavement is not4. Riders now face a £300 punishment and six points on their driving license for doing so. But, still e-scooters can be seen5. And now users are calling on rules to be changed.

    The UK government is looking at how safely they can be used on the road and is examining the law again. But the official said, "It is an6 product. We know there is need among people. However, safety must always be the first to consider when talking about their use on public highways in this country."

    There are dangers in riding a two-wheeled scooter. Some of them can drive at high speed, over 30mph. They sometimes only have one brake (刹车)and no lights. It seems more work needs to be done to give e-scooters a safe and right space to travel in.

    My dad is a patient, loving and giving person but his kind spirit that really touched me was one night as we were driving home after visiting my grandmother.

    Pulling up at a small crossing, we saw a car stopped in the m of the road. An older lady was talking on her phone and staring up at a street sign, clearly trying to work out where she was. She came back to her car, looking more u. Dad watched her out of his rear-view (后视)mirror before pulling over to see if he could help. As he stood at her window and asked if she was OK, she broke down in tears, explaining she had lost her way.

    It turned out she was a caregiver (照料者)and was t to find the house of the client she was meant to be helping that night. When she showed Dad the address she was meant to be at. Dad handed her his b card and told her to follow him, and to call him on the number on the card if she lost us in t .

    My dad drove to the address, only a suburb or two out of our way, and found the house for her. The look of thankfulness on her face was reward enough for Dad.

    The next morning as Dad was driving me to school his phone rang. It was the lady he'd helped the night b . calling him to thank him again for his kind deed. I don't think Eve ever been so p to be his daughter.

    It was a cool spring morning back in 2009 and I had just started a morning shift as a school crossing guard. Looking out for the children, I suddenly noticed something at sideways. Behind me I first thought it was a small, overweight dog heading towards me. I didn't think much about it, and looked carefully at any approaching children, as well as enjoying the morning sun.

    What is wrong with that dog? I thought later on, as I looked back to check on the small dog—it was moving much too fast for itself

    A few minutes later, I felt as if I was being watched, I looked behind me, but the dog had disappeared. Then, as I slowly turned my attention back to the road, I was greatly surprised to see a large koala at my feet and staring right up at me.

    A number of different solutions crossed my mind. But staying calm was the best. "Are you waiting to cross the road?" I asked the sweet koala. Miss Koala looked away, and scratched (抓挠)behind her car.

    Then it got up on all four feet and impatiently started to cross the road. I quickly checked for any cars, then walked to the road with my stop sign held high, whistle (吹哨)to my lips, and held my breath.

    The koala made it to the other side of the street, then continued following the path through the trees and disappeared into bushes.

So why did the koala cross at the school crossing? To safely get to the trees on the other side!
