    My name is Sara and I'd like to tell you about my dream(梦想) holiday. I always dream about going to Egypt. This summer my dream will come true. My 1 will go to Egypt on holiday. I have a plan.

    I will go with my mother and my sister. My father is2with an important program, so he can't go with us. My mother, my sister and I will leave our 3 in Costa Rica early in the morning. We  won't 4 in Egypt till the morning of the next day, 5 we'll have to take different flights(航班). First, from Costa Rica to the United States, then to Spain and at last to Egypt. We will stay in Egypt 6 two weeks. I think I will ride a camel(骆驼) and try special food. Of course I will 7 the pyramids(金字塔). They are a must-see for all visitors there.

    The weather is really 8 in Egypt, so I'll take shorts, T-shirt and a big hat with me. I think I won't 9 many things there. People say things there are very expensive. I will take a lot of pictures and show(展示) 10 to my father when we come back. I'm sure we'll have a great holiday.

    Sally: My father drove us to a strawberry garden. The strawberries grew in greenhouses. It was so hot and wet inside. But the strawberries were really sweet and delicious. We bought two kilos. They were only 100 yuan.

    Mike: I want to visit Ken in the village with my father. Ken has some pigs. I helped feed them. Ken made some chicken noodles for us. They tasted great.

    Tony: My grandpa took me to fish by the lake. I thought it would be interesting, but it was not. I felt bored and went back home. After I got home, it started raining. I felt so lucky.

    It was Mother's Day. A man stopped his car at a flower shop to order some flowers. He wanted the shopper to send the flowers to his mother, who lived two hundred miles away.

    As he got out of his car, he found a young girl sitting on the road crying.

    He asked her what was wrong and she replied, "I want to buy a red rose for my mother, but I only have seventy-five cents. A rose costs two dollars."

    The man smiled and said, "Come into the shop with me, and I will buy you a rose."

    He bought the little girl her rose and ordered his own mother's flowers. As they were leaving, he offered to drive the girl home. She said, "Yes, please. You can take me to my mother." She brought him to a cemetery(墓地).The girl put the rose on the grave.

    The man was moved(感动的). He returned to the flower shop, picked up the flowers he ordered, and drove two hundred miles to his mother's house.

    Today is the day for your mother. Send a flower to your beautiful and kind mother.

    A young boy was playing with a ball in the street. He threw (扔) it too hard and it broke (打破) the window of a house and fell (掉) inside. A woman came to the window and shouted (大喊) at the boy.

The boy was afraid and ran away. But he still wanted his ball back. A few minutes (分钟) later, the boy came back and knocked (敲) at the door and said, "My father is going to come and repair (修理) your window soon."

    After a while, a man came to the door with tools (工具) in his hand, so the woman let the boy take his ball away. When the man finish repairing the window, he said to the woman, "Please pay ten dollars." "But aren't you the father of the boy?" the woman asked, looking surprised (惊奇). "No," he answered, looking more surprised, "Aren't you his mother?"

    Do you have a dictionary? I think everyone has one. But do you often use your dictionary? Can you make good use of it? I don't think that everyone can make good use of it. You may meet lots of new words in your study and you can ask someone for the answers. But if you have a dictionary, please don't let it sleep. It can tell you the right answers.

    It's true that dictionaries are very useful and important to us. They are like teachers. When you have a question, you can go to ask them. They can tell you the meaning of the words and they can also tell you how to use them. They are also like friends. They can stay with you in your life. You can learn a lot from them.

    Don't be lazy. Don't forget to use your dictionary. Use it often, you will find a new world.
