It was a lovely spring afternoon. When my classmates and I were playing happily on the playground, something got into my shoe and I1 , "Ow! Ow! Something in my shoe is biting(咬) me."

    Everyone heard the shout. They quickly took me into a 2and were going to take off my shoe, "Which foot is it?"One asked. "Let us have a look."

    Suddenly, I remembered the3in my socks. My family was very poor during those years. I wore4socks, so they didn't last long and soon had holes in the front. I5 to take off my shoe. And I tried to keep my right shoe on6I couldn't stand others seeing the holes in my sock.

    My teacher, Miss Diane, 7  the classroom. "What's wrong?"she asked. "Something is biting her foot, 8 she doesn't let us take off her shoe," one of my classmates answered.

    A student was going to spend his holiday in a cool mountain village. That evening he stayed at an inn (小旅馆) near the railway station (火车站). And it will ring on time."

    Once there was an old farmer. He had a horse and the horse was almost as old as himself. One morning he set out(出发) with his young son to sell the horse before it died.

    The father and the son walked because the farmer did not want the horse to be too tired. They met two men on the road. They said, "Why are you walking, farmer? You have a horse. "So the farmer got up behind his son and they went on riding.                                                      

    Sometime later, a young woman passed them. "Why aren't you walking?"She asked, "It isn't far to the market. Give your poor old horse a rest. " So the farmer and his son got down once again. It is a fact that you cannot please (使…高兴) all the people all the time.
