Hello, everyone. I am Eric, a student in No. I Middle School. Now let me tell you about my favorite teacher. 

My favorite teacher is Mrs. Plath. She is my English teacher. She is my friend John's aunt, too. She is good to every student in my class. Everyone likes her. She gives us some interesting homework. It's relaxing for me to do the homework. 

Now Mrs. Plath is 40. She has many things to do. She has three classes a day. And she helps in the reading club after school. She helps children read and makes them love books. 

I think good teachers can make students love school. They have a good influence (影响) on their students. Mrs. Plath is a good teacher. I want to thank her. I want to be a teacher like her. 

Many children like to go hiking(徒步旅行).Why? Because they can be free from school and homework. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} If you want to have a happy hike,you must pay attention to(注意) the following.

First,find a good day. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} If the weather is good,you can do a lot of things,like riding horses,going bike riding,swimming in the river,flying kites and playing ball games.

Second,go with people you like.If you go hiking with people you don't like,you will not have a great time. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} .

Third, find the right place. Different people have different ideas about the places. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} I like to walk along the beach, listen to the sound of the sea(海洋) and watch children play.

 {#blank#}5{#/blank#} To have a nice  hike,you  must  have comfortable  shoes, enough water and some  food  . Now you can go hiking.
 

I'm Lucy from London. But now I'm in Beijing with my parents. Both of them are doctors and they love their job. I am a student and I love my school, too. School is a good place for me. I can do many things there.

I can learn a lot from school. I learn Chinese, math, science and English every day. Also, I can have fun at school. I often listen to music with my classmates. Sometimes, I talk about favorite movies and TV shows with them.

But sometimes I am not happy at school because there are too many activities and they always make me tired.

School is like my second family, and my classmates are like my brothers and sisters. The school is really a big and happy family.

Students sometimes fight (打架) at school. But how can you keep away from a fight? Here's something you can do. 

Be calm (冷静). Sometimes, you feel so angry that you really want to teach somebody a lesson. But being angry can't solve problems. A fight can't help, either. It may bring you more problems. In the school, everyone will be punished (惩罚), if he gets into a fight. There is no winner in a fight. 

Shout loudly. If you know someone is coming up behind you to attack, turn to the person with your hands up in front of your body and loudly say"stop" before walking away. Loud voice can usually make the attacker calm down. If the person doesn't stop, shout for help by calling your teachers. 

Learn to say no. Your friend may ask you to join in a fight, but helping him fight is not really helpful to him. If you really want to help him, try to ask him to stop. Also, you can tell him that if he has a fight, he may be punished. Then, try to know why he wants a fight and help him find a right way to solve the problem. 

If you follow my advice, you may keep away from a fight at school. 

Do you know your mobile phone number well? You may sometimes find it hard to remember your number. That's because China has the longest mobile phone numbers in the world. Why is that? 

The 11 digits (数字) include three parts. Each part has a different meaning. The first three numbers tell you the mobile phone service provider (服务提供商) you are using. For example, 135 is for the China Mobile Communication Corporation (中国移动) and 186 is for China Unicorn (中国联通). The fourth to the seventh digits tell you where the number is from. And the last four digits are random (随机的). 

The main reason for using 11 digits is that we have the largest population (人口) in the world. We once had 10 numbers. But as our population grew, there were not enough numbers for us to use. So we began to use 11 digits from 1999. 

11 digits can make tens of billions of mobile phone numbers. That's enough for each person to have seven or eight phone numbers to use in China. Also, we can reuse the mobile phone numbers. Usually, the service provider will use a canceled number again after three to six months. If you call a number that you haven't called for a long time, you may find its owner has changed. 

Besides China, Britain and Japan also use 11-digit mobile phone numbers. But their numbers always start with 0. So they cannot make as many numbers as we can. Countries like the United States, Australia and India use phone numbers with 10 digits. Canada's mobile phone numbers are perhaps the world's shortest: they use seven digits. 

①As the holiday season is coming, shoppers are busy creating their gift lists. Among the usual and popular choices, an unexpected favorite has appeared for a Londoner: China's famous Lao GanMa chili sauce(辣椒酱). Why? It's super tasty, and goes with everything. Besides, it's really cheap.

②Actually, many other Chinese foods has become a craze in the world. In Paris, Guo Jinzhang, a Chinese man, has successfully opened several shops serving daoxiaomian,a traditional dish from Shanxi Province in North China. "Nowadays, many French friends around us have added our noodles to their daily diet," Guo said. "This is our first-hand experience in understanding that food knows no borders."

③In Kuala Lumpur(吉隆坡), a couple of Sichuan restaurants often attract long lines of customers. In Milan, jianbing guozi(a pancake) has become a hot item in Chinatown.

④Chinese food has a long history and a good social foundation (基础). Overseas Chinese include Chinese food and its culture into local food culture. Additionally, international tourists visiting China have experienced Chinese food firsthand. These all make Chinese food popular. In many ways, Chinese food shows the world the rich Chinese culture through taste. When people sitdown for it, they are not just experiencing a meal but a culture.

⑤Therefore, as a bridge between the east and west, Chinese food is sure to go farther.
