    It is a cold day．A tiger is on the ground(地面)，and he is very hungry and tired．He sees a rabbit sleeping under a big tree．"What a fat rabbit! It must(肯定)be yummy．"He walks to the rabbit. At that time，he sees a deer(梅花鹿)running across the forest．"It's bigger than the rabbit．Let me eat the deer first，then come to eat the rabbit．"The tiger says to himself(自言自语)and runs after the deer．The rabbit wakes up(醒来)．He sees the tiger and runs away．

    When the tiger runs after the deer，he sees a horse running in front of the deer．"It's taller and bigger than the deer．It must be more tasty．"So he begins to run after the horse．But the horse runs faster and faster．The tiger can't catch it．At last(最后)，the tiger has nothing to get．

    A man is going to the house of a rich man. He sees a box of good apples by the road. He says," I don't want them, because the rich man will give me a lot of good food." Then he takes the apples and throws them into the dustbin (垃圾桶).

    He comes to a river. The water in the river is very deep and he can't get across (穿过) it. He says to himself, "I can't go to the rich m an' s house today." So he goes home.

    He has nothing to eat the day. He is very hungry, so he comes to the apples.

    Don't throw good things away, you may be glad to have them sometimes.

    Mr. and Mrs. Green are from England. They teach English in Beijing.

    Their daughter (女儿)Alice and son Sam are with them. They speaks English very well. But they want to learn some Chinese. Alice is in Grade Five(五年级) and Sam is in Grade Two(二年级). They play with Chinese children every day. They listen to Chinese, speak Chinese, read books in Chinese and write in Chinese.

    Their family all like Chinese very much.
