This is my classroom (教室). It's very big. There's a teacher's table, two windows, four lights (灯)and two fans (风扇). The wall is white; the teacher's table is orange；the windows are green；the lights are blue and the fans are pink. You can see many chairs (椅子) and desks, and they are yellow. I like my classroom.

    This is an old English saying. Children should have ten hours' sleep every night, or they can't do their work very well. They will not be wise, either. The body needs exercise. Walkin9, running, swim-ruing and playing ball games are all exercise. Exercise keeps the body strong and makes the mind bright.

Miss White: Today is Thursday, 14th July. Tomorrow is the start of the school holiday, children. Where are you going on holiday, Xiaoling?

Xlaoling: I'm going to America, Miss White.

Miss White: That's fantastic, Xiaoling. How are you going to get there~

Xiao ling: By plane, of course.

Miss White: Where are you going on holiday, Yongxian?

Yongxian: I'm going to Hong Kong tomorrow.

Yongxian: At half past seven in the morning. What about yours?

Wang Lili: I'm going to Xiamen tomorrow.

Miss White: That's good. How are you going to get there?

Wang Lili:  I'm going by ship.

Miss White: When will you get there?

Wang Lili:  At about four o'clock the next afternoon.

Miss White: Where are you going on holiday, Jiamin?

Jiamin: I'm going to stay with my grandmother.

Miss White: That's nice, Jiamin. How are you going to get there?

Jiamin: I'm going on foot. She lives near my home.

    Last week we talked about growing potatoes. Today we will talk about growing another root vegetable, carrots. Carrots are easy to grow and easy to harvest. They taste good. And they contain a lot of carotene (胡萝卜素). When we eat the carrots, our body makes carotene into vitamin A(维生素A).

    When we think of carrots, we usually say carrots are long, thin and orange. But carrots are in many different sizes and shapes. And not all carrots are orange. Sometimes we have green carrots with yellow inside.

    Carrots should be planted in the sand. The soil also should have no rocks.

    Look! There is a big bag on the table. What fruit is in the bag? Two apples, three oranges, seven bananas, nine pears and some grapes. Lily likes apples. Anna likes bananas. Tom likes grapes and Bob likes pears. I like grapes, too.

    I look like a bear but I'm not a bear. I am smaller than a bear. I look like a cat but I'm not a cat. I am bigger than a cat. I like eating bamboo(竹子) and I live in the forest. What am I?
