阅读下面短文,在空白处填入一个适当的词,或填入括号中所给单词的正确形式。

The Internet is good. But some people spend too much time online. They can't stop. Doctors say this is a new illness(疾病). They    (call) this illness Internet Addiction Disorder(互联网成瘾症) (IAD).

People with IAD spend hours chatting with their friends or  (play) games online. Many people with IAD spend  (much) time on the Internet than with family or friends. Some people with IAD even quit(辞退) (they) jobs!

Do you have IAD? Think about these questions:

long are you online a day? Is it a lot a little?

When you are not online, are you thinking playing a computer game or checking your messages?

Do you get angry when you can't play a game?

If you have IAD, what should you do? Dr Ivan Goldberg and De Kimberly S. Young have some ideas.  First, ask yourself, "Why am I online a lot?" Then try (take) a break. For example, use the computer or play games onceweek, not every day.  In this way, you can have a good life with other (friend).

举一反三
阅读下面短文,在空白处填入一个适当的词,或填入括号中所给单词的正确形式(最多限填3个单词)。

We live in a small town and almost everyone knows each other. It used to be very quiet. Nothing much ever happened around here. However, these days something unusual is {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(happen) in our town. Victor, a teacher at my school, is really nervous. When he was interviewed {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the town newspaper, he said, "Every night we hear strange noises outside {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(we) window. My wife thinks that it could be {#blank#}4{#/blank#}animal, but my friends and I think it must be teenagers having fun. My parents called the policemen, but they couldn't find anything strange. They think it might be the wind. I don't think so!"

Victor's next-door neighbor Helen is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(worry), too. "At first, I thought that it might be a dog, but I couldn't see a dog or anything else, either. So I guess it can't be a dog. But then, what could it be?" One woman in the area {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(see) something running away, but it was dark so she is not sure." I think it was too big to be a dog," she said." Maybe it {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(be) a bear or a wolf."

Everyone in our town is feeling{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(easy), and everyone has his or her ideas. There must be something visiting the homes in our neighborhood,{#blank#}9{#/blank#}what is it? We have no idea. Most people hope that this animal {#blank#}10{#/blank#}person will simply go away, but I do not think that is going to happen. The noise-maker is having too much fun creating fear in the neighborhood.
