Time is something from which we can' t escape.  Even if we ignore it, it's still going by, ticking away, second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the main issue in using your time well is "Who's in charge?" We can allow time to slip by {#blank#}2{#/blank#} let it be our enemy. Or we can take control of it and make it {#blank#}3{#/blank#} ally(同盟) .

    By taking control of {#blank#}4{#/blank#} you spend your time, you'll increase your chances of becoming {#blank#}5{#/blank#} more successful student. Perhaps more importantly, the better you are at managing the time you devote {#blank#}6{#/blank#} your studies, the more time you'II have to spend on your outside interests .

    The aim of time management is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} to schedule every moment so we become slaves of a timetable {#blank#}8{#/blank#} governs every waking moment of the day. Instead, the aim is to make informed choices as to how we use our time.

    Graffiti (涂鸦) and street art are forms of art created on walls or public surfaces. This art is often considered illegal because it is done without the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (permit) of the building owners. These art forms {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (exist) since the times of ancient Greece. But the more modem style began forming in the 1960s in the cities of New York and Philadelphia. “Graffiti” often appears as words- {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (usual) the names of the artist or their art crew. Graffiti artists write the words in {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (create) ways and with colorful spray-paint.

    “Street art” is more based {#blank#}5{#/blank#}images. Artists try to communicate a message through these images. Graffiti and street art can be controversial. They sometimes damage someone's property. Washington has tried to increase its fines for illegal graffiti, {#blank#}6{#/blank#}, however, is encouraging the creation of public art. America's capital city is trying hard {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (control) its illegal graffiti problem. At the same time, city officials recognize the value and importune or street art. There is {#blank#}8{#/blank#} high demand for more artists to make street art legally. But the city offers few {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (chance) for young D.C. street artists to develop their skills without {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (break) the law.

It is widely accepted that optimistic attitudes promote health as well as happiness. The secret of a long life is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (universe) desired and has long been sought. Today we can reveal it: always look on the bright side. A huge research project {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (lead) by scientists at the Boston University School of Medicine concludes that optimists live {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (long).

Lewina Lee, lead author of the study, said, "A lot of evidence {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (suggest) that exceptional longevity(长寿) is widely accompanied by a longer span of good health and living {#blank#}5{#/blank#} disability. Therefore our findings raise an exciting possibility {#blank#}6{#/blank#} we may be able to promote health and happiness by {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (develop) positive attitudes such as optimism."

However, the study doesn't suggest that we should aim for great pleasure. Sadness is {#blank#}8{#/blank#} important part of the human condition. Any normal person sometimes experience disappointment, ambitions and the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (lose) of loved ones. But for many people, these matters of human existence {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (transform) into an abnormal state of despair. There is a vital place in public health for providing mental treatment in helping to correct these cognitive errors. It is not weakness to be defeated by setbacks. It is merely a mistake.

One day, an old wise man was going to teach people in a village. The villagers there were very  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(interest) in the wise man's ideas. Each person in the village had prepared well, thinking about  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} questions they might ask the wise man.

The wise man finally arrived and  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(take) into a large room in the village, in {#blank#}4{#/blank#} people got together to ask their questions. There was great  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(expect) and excitement.

The wise man walked silently around the room and sang a sweet song. One by one, people took up the song. Before long, everyone started to sing along with the wise man. As people became comfortable with  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(he) song, the wise man started to dance  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the music. He danced everywhere in the room, and one by one, people danced with him. Soon everyone in the whole village was dancing  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(wild) together. Everyone danced with such big smiles on their faces that they totally forgot their worries in life.

Later at night, the wise man slowed the dance and finally stopped {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(dance). He looked into everyone's eyes and said gently," I believe that I {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(answer) all of your questions."
