The Americans were getting ready to send their first man to the moon, an old Irishman (爱尔兰人) was 1 them on TV in a hotel room. There was an Englishman in the room, 2. And he said to the Irishman, "The Americans are very 3, aren't they? They are going to 4 some men to the moon. It's a very long way from our world." "Oh, that's 5,"the Irishman answered quickly."     It was a Monday morning. When a teacher walked into the1, he heard a low voice: “Here is the teacher. I am 2this boring fellow(烦人的家伙) is going to talk about putting in commas(逗号).” It was a boy's3. His name was Bill. He was talking4the boy next to him. The teacher didn't get angry.     He put two commas in the sentence, and now read, “10is a boring fellow.”

    I sat with my friend in a well-known coffee shop in a town of Italy.

    As we enjoyed our coffee, a man entered and sat beside us. He called the waiter over, saying, "Two cups of coffee, one of them there on the  1."

    We heard his order with  2  and noticed that he was served one cup of coffee  3 he paid for two.

    When he left, the waiter put a piece of paper on the wall saying "A Cup of Coffee".

    While we were still there, two other men entered and  4  three cups of coffee, two on the table and one on the wall. They had two but paid for  5. This time also, the waiter did the same thing. It was  6 unusual for us.

    After a few days, we had a chance to enter this coffee shop again. While we were enjoying our coffee, a man  7  appeared homeless entered. He looked at the wall and said, "One cup of coffee from the wall."

    The waiter served a cup of coffee to this man with  8. The man had his coffee and left without  9. We were amazed to watch all of this as the waiter  10  a piece of paper off the wall and threw it into the bin.

    Now it was no surprise for us – the matter was very  11  . The people of this town showed great respect for those people who needed help.

Just think about  12 this man wanted. He didn't have to lose his face to ask for a(n)13 cup of coffee.  14 asking or knowing who was giving him this cup of coffee, he only looked at the wall, made an order for himself,  15  his coffee and left.

    It's a truly beautiful thing – probably the most beautiful wall anywhere in the world.

    Bruce shook his money box again.

    There wasn't 1in it! He 2 counted the coins that lay on the bed. All that he had was $24.52. The bicycle 3 he wanted was at least $90. How on earth(究竟) was he going to get 4rest of the money?

    He knew 5 his friends all had bicycles. It was hard 6 out(闲逛) with people when you were the only one without a bicycle. He thought about what he could do. He couldn't get money from his parents,7 he knew they had no extra(额外的) money.

Soon after I returned to my 9. I saw  the Flight Captain coming down the aisle （过道）. When he got to my row, he stopped and said, "I want to 10 your hand. I was a soldier. Once, someone bought me a lunch. It was an act of 11 I never forgot. " I was embarrassed when applause （掌声）was heard from all of the passengers.

    Later, a man who was seated about six rows in front of me reached out his hand, wanting to shake 12. He left another $ 25 in my hand.

    When we landed in Chicago, I 13my bag. Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man who stopped me and put something in my pocket. 14$25.

    Upon entering the terminal, I gave $75 to the soldiers. "It will be about time for a sandwich. God Bless You. " I said. These soldiers were giving their all for our country. I could only give them some 15. It seemed so little.
