I first went to a live rock concert when I was eight years old. My brother and his friends bought {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (ticket) for the concert. However, at the last minute, one of his friends couldn't go, so my brother {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(give) me the ticket. I was really excited!

    I remember the noise of excitement inside the theatre(剧院) when we all found our {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (seat). After a few minutes, the lights went down and everybody became {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(quietly). We waited for the band to show up. Then someone{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(shout), as the first member of the band appeared. My brother said {#blank#}6{#/blank#} in my ear, but I couldn't hear {#blank#}7{#/blank#}he was saying because it was too noisy there. The first song was already starting. I can't remember any of the songs {#blank#}8{#/blank#}the band played.  I just remember that I really enjoyed the show and didn't want it {#blank#}9{#/blank#} finish. After the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (perform), I became a Black Wednesday fan too.

    Bill, Lisa and Peter are classmates. They're all 13 {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (year) old. Bill likes music. He can play {#blank#}2{#/blank#} guitar, but he can't play the violin. He thinks it's difficult {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (play) the violin. Lisa likes music, too. She {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (sing) English songs very well, but she can't sing Chinese songs. Peter likes sports. He can play basketball well. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} he can't play soccer. He says soccer is boring.

    The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest wonders of the world. With a history of more than 2,000 years, some parts of the Great Wall have disappeared. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}, it isstill a very popular place of interest.

It is the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (long) wall ever built. It's from Shanhaiguan on the east coast to Gansu Province {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the northwest of China, It is about 8 meters high. The top is 8 meters wide {#blank#}4{#/blank#} it gets even wider towards the bottom where it is 15 meters. It is {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (make) of stone and brick. The top is hard enough for men on horseback to ride on. The wall was built by hand and it took {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (hundred) of years to finish.

No one knows {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (exact) when the building of the Great Wall was started. It is believed that the wall was built {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (protect) parts of the country during the Zhou Dynasty. Emperor Qin Shi Huang joined the separate walls built by the Qin, Yan and Zhao Kingdoms. The wall was not only for protection in the north, it was also a symbol of {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (China) ancient civilization(文明).

    Today, many of the visitors go to see the wall. {#blank#}10{#/blank#} they stand on top of a tower and look down on this wall, they can't help (禁不住) saying," Wow, that's fantastic!"

    My school has clear and strict school rules, including for dress code(着装要求)and punishment( 惩罚)for{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (be) late.

    As for dress code, we must wear school{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (uniform). We can wear brown, black, gray pants and shoes. Our shoes must be made of leather or canvas(帆布). Our pants must be made of canvas, too. We are not allowed to wear sneakers and boots in the classroom.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} P.E. class, we must change into our exercise uniforms and sneakers.

    The break time{#blank#}4{#/blank#} classes is only four minutes. We need to arrive at the classroom for our next class{#blank#}5{#/blank#} time. During the break, the hallway is crowded. Every student{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (walk) in a hurry. There isn't even time for us{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (go) to the restroom.

    I put all the books in my schoolbag two minutes before class is over. Most other students in the classroom do this, {#blank#}8{#/blank#}.The sound of zippers(拉链) can even be louder than the teacher's voice.

    {#blank#}9{#/blank#} we are late, we must have a good reason or a permission(允许) slip from the teacher of the last class. Or we will get lower scores. If we are late five times in{#blank#}10{#/blank#} term, we will be called truants(逃学者). This may result in a detention(课后留校).
