Today is Sunday. My family likes to have fun together. In the morning, we plant potatoes on the farm. Then we go to the zoo to watch the animals. In the afternoon, we fly kites together. And in the evening, we go to the cinema to watch a film. At 8：00 pm, we watch TV at home.

    I have three good friends. They are Peter, Jack and Mike. Peter doesn't play TV games. But he watches TV and sleeps a lot. Jack doesn't read books. but he plays football. Mike doesn't watch TV. But he plays basketball. We often play together.

    Sandwich was an Englishman. He lived in the 18th century. Sandwich was rich, but he liked to play cards for money. He often played for 24 hours, and didn't even stop to have his meals. He asked his servants to bring him some meat and bread. He put the meat between the two pieces of bread and held the food in his left hand while he played cards with his right hand. People liked Sandwich's way. From then, people ate bread and meat as Sandwich did. From the name of the man, Sandwich, we have the word of the food sandwich today.

    On Christmas Eve -the night before Christmas Day children are very happy. They put their stockings at the end of their beds before they go to bed. They want Father Christmas to give them some presents. Mr. Green tells his children that Father Christmas is a very kind man. He comes on Christmas Eve. He lands on top of each house and comes down the chimney into the fireplace and brings them a lot of presents. Christmas Day always begins before breakfast. The children wake up very early. They can't wait to open the presents in their stockings. Then they wake up their parents and call "Merry Christmas!" Do you know what Christmas means? Christmas Day is the birthday of Jesus Christ. When Christ was born, many people gave him presents. So today, people still do the same thing to each other.
