The Emperor was worried because he couldn't see the magic cloth. Was he not clever enough to see it? He thought and thought. Finally he got an idea. “I will ask the Minister to go and see the cloth.” The poor Minister went into the room .He could not see the cloth either .But he was afraid to tell the truth. He came back and told the Emperor, “It is the most beautiful cloth in the world” The Emperor was very happy to hear this.

    Bill Gates has a nice house on a hill by Lake Washington. Inside the house there are seven bedrooms, twenty four bathrooms, six kitchens and six fireplaces. It even has a theatre, a library, an exercise room and a swimming pool. You can say the house is very big. However, it doesn't look so big, because a large part of it is in the hills.

    The house is famous for many reasons. One is its large size, and another is its amazing electronic systems(电子系统).Before a visitor goes into the house, he or she gets a chip(芯片）at the gate. The chip sends information about the visitor to the electronic systems in the house. When the visitor goes into the house, lights are turned on automatically（自动地）.When the visitor goes from one room to another, he or she can hear music.

    Bill Gates began to build his house in 1990. It took him about 7 years to build it.

    Mr Smith is a kind man. He often gave money to a beggar (乞丐) on his way home. One day the beggar asked him, "What's the matter, sir? Two years ago I got one hundred yuan from you. Last year you gave me five yuan every time you saw me. But this year, you only give me one yuan." Mr Smith said with a smile, "Two years ago I was single. Last year I got married (结婚) and this year I had a baby."

    The beggar said angrily, "How can you support (供养) your family with my money?"

    Mr Smith was so surprised. He just went away without saying anything to the beggar.

    Wind can be different. Sometimes it blows gently; sometimes it blows strongly. People feel different with different winds. On a hot day, a cool wind feels nice. In winter, a cold wind makes us shiver (颤抖) when the wind blows quickly. It can make wet clothes dry. Children can fly kites. Sometimes it blows slowly. It can move the wind-bell.

The Tiger's Dinner

Tiger: Good afternoon, Ms. Goat. I'm hungry. Let me eat you.

Goat: Don't eat me, Mr. Tiger. I'm old. That deer is young. (The goat runs away. )

Tiger: Miss Deer. Miss Deer. Let me eat you.

Deer: Oh, no. Many birds are standing over there.

They are delicious. (The deer runs away.)

Tiger: Birds, I would like to cat you. You are my dinner.

Birds: You are bad. We can fly, can you? ( The birds fly away. )

Tiger: No, I can't. But where is my dinner?
