John：It was Children's Day yesterday. What did you do?

Tom：I went to the zoo. There are many animals. I was very tired but very happy. What about you?

John：I stayed at home and slept. Because I had a cold.

Tom: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm happy you feel better now.

John：Did you have a good time?

Tom：Of course I did.

    We have three meals（饭菜）every day. For breakfast（早餐）, I have some milk, a hamburger（汉堡）and two eggs. For lunch（中餐）, I have rice, an orange, carrots and potatoes（土豆）. And for dinner（晚餐）, I have chicken, some French fries（炸薯条）and broccoli（西兰花）. We should have healthy（健康的）food. It's good for us.

    What's the weather like? Oh, it's a cold day. It is snowy. I like snowy days. We can make snowmen(雪人). I like sunny days, too. I can play outside on a sunny day. But I don't like rainy days.

    Jim is a good student at school. He never breaks(打破) the school rules. All of his teachers like him a lot. But he is not a good boy at home. He doesn't clean his room. He puts his books here and there. He likes eating too much junk food. He always watches TV till very late. He goes to bed very late and reads books in bed. So Jim's mother makes some family rules for him.

    I'm Mary. My grandfather was a teacher. He didn't buy a TV and he never watched TV. He thought that people spent (花费) too much time watching it. Some of his friends often talked about sports shows, films and plays. My grandfather always did some reading or walked in the evening. Two years ago, my grandfather was 60 years old. He stopped working in the school. My father bought him a TV. He began to watch the news and sports.

    Now, he knows much more about the world. And he reads more books, too. He often chats with his friends about the news, sports and so on. He is happier than before and always has a smile on his face.
