Tea is an important part of Chinese tradition. The practice of drinking tea has{#blank#}1{#/blank#}long history in China, having originated there. Nowadays, Chinese tea generally represents tea leaves which have been processed {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(use) methods inherited from ancient China.

    According to popular legend, tea{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(discover) by Chinese Emperor Shen Nong in 2737 BC{#blank#}4{#/blank#}a leaf from a nearby shrub fell into the water the emperor was boiling. The Emperor was interested in the new liquid,{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (drink) some carefully, and found it very refreshing. And so, tea was said to be created in 2737 BC.

    Tea is deeply woven into the history and culture of China. The beverage(饮料) is considered one of the seven{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(necessity) of Chinese life, along with firewood, rice, oil, salt, soy sauce and vinegar. Around 771 BC—476 BC the Chinese tea was used {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(help) treat some diseases.

    Most Chinese teas are cultivated and consumed in China. Tea shops and tea houses in the street are easily found in China. Meanwhile, they are also exported internationally due{#blank#}8{#/blank#} a rise in the{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(popular) of Chinese cuisine worldwide. Tea has become one of Chinese specific drinks in the world. It is {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(common) available in Chinese restaurants and grocery shops world wide.

    If you're a fan of penguins, you might enjoy{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(participate) in a new research project to help scientists measure changes to penguin populations.

    The project {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (name) Penguin Watch and the members are counting penguins in online {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (photo) taken across Antarctica, helping scientists monitor the species in their natural habitat. Up to now, nearly 40,000 volunteers have joined in the project.

    “Penguin Watch is people-powered research{#blank#}4{#/blank#} people can help and every click {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (matter) in helping us to understand penguins,” Tom Hart, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} expert from Oxford University and a member of the Penguin Watch team, told The Telegraph.

    The data {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (give) by volunteers will also help measure changes in not only the penguins' behavior and habitat, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the larger ecosystem as well. “Finally, this huge data set allows us to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (effect) train computers to take over from humans and helps us pass on the tools developed for penguins to the species {#blank#}10{#/blank#} threat,” said Hart.

    Zac Sunderland is an American who was born in 1991. On July 16^th, 2009 Zac sailed (航行) back to Marina del Rey, California where he had left over a year before. As soon as he arrived, he {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (become) the youngest person in history to sail alone around the world. In order to get the amazing {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (achieve), Zac solved lots of problems.

    When something broke on his boat, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (thousand) of miles out to sea, Zac had to repair it all by {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (he). Fresh food doesn't last long, so he got used to {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (eat) freeze-dried meals and canned food. And he felt lonely.

    Zac's experiences at sea were not all difficult or miserable(痛苦的). He got {#blank#}6{#/blank#}chances of seeing a night sky more shining than you have ever seen from land, watching {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (beauty) sunrises and sunsets and meeting different marine(海中的) life.

    Zac sailed alone but not non-stop. He made stops along the way {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (add) some more food and fuel. During those stops, he met people from different cultures. His father met him during many of his stops, took him out {#blank#}9{#/blank#} an excellent meal and helped repair the boat {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (frequent).

    When {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (learn) to drive, we are told to obey the traffic rules and not to drive our vehicles too fast. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} surprises us is that some young people just enjoy the feeling of driving cars or motorcycles at a very high speed. Jack, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} 18-year-old boy, is {#blank#}4{#/blank#} exception.

    Recently, Jack's father has bought him a car, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} is quite admired by his friends. When he is out in the country, where there are a few people driving and the traffic rules are not strict, this {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (adventure) boy will drive {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (extreme) fast. In towns, however, there is a speed limit, that is, fifty kilometers an hour, but Jack often drives much faster.

    One day Jack was driving through towns when a young policeman, who was new to his work, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (stop) him and said, "I'm afraid you were driving at a more than fifty kilometers an hour, Sir. Please give me your name and address." {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (look) at the policeman carefully, Jack said to him, "Well, sir, I started my journey less than an hour ago." On hearing this, he didn't know the answer {#blank#}10{#/blank#} Jack's excuse. He thought for a few seconds and then let Jack go.

    For Nigel Portman, a love of travelling began with what's called a "gap year". In common with many other British teenagers, he chose{#blank#}1{#/blank#}（take） a year out before settling down to study for his degree. After doing various{#blank#}2{#/blank#} （job） to raise some money,  he left home to gain some experience of life in different cultures, visiting America and Asia. The more adventurous a young person, the{#blank#}3{#/blank#}（great） challenge they are likely to set{#blank#}4{#/blank#}（them） for the gap year, and for some, like Nigel, it can result in a thirst for adventure.

    Now that his university course{#blank#}5{#/blank#}（come） to an end, Nigel is just about to leave on a three﹣year trip that will take him right around the world. What's more, he plans to make the whole journey{#blank#}6{#/blank#}（use） only means of transport which are powered by natural energy. In other words, he'll be relying{#blank#}7{#/blank#}（main） on bicycles and his own legs; and when there's an ocean to cross, he won't be taking a shortcut（捷径）{#blank#}8{#/blank#}flying aboard﹣he'll be joining the crew of a sailing ship, instead.

    As well as doing some mountain climbing along {#blank#}9{#/blank#}way, Nigel hopes to pass on to the people he meets the environmental message {#blank#}10{#/blank#}lies behind the whole idea.
