Last week, our family went to the countryside to have a picnic. We brought several sandwiches and some bottles of water with us. Of course we didn't forget to rake some fruit and we even took some tomatoes and cucumbers.

    We started out quite early before there was too much traffic. After 2 hours of driving, we came to a nice place. It was the foot of a hill with some large trees and a river beside it. As it was a very hot day, we parked the car under a big tree, and went for a swim in the river. The water was refreshing. After having a swim, we had lunch in the cool shade under the trees. The most popular foods are sausages and tomatoes.

    After lunch, we went for a walk. We saw some beautiful birds and butterflies. We smelled sweet air. After walking for about an hour, we returned to the car. However. We couldn't get the car started. Finally we had to push the car to the road and wait for help. Of course, the car breaking down spoiled(破坏)our picnic in the end.

   There are six members in my family. They are my grandparents, my parents, my brother and I.

    My father is 40 years old. He is an engineer. He works very hard. He gets up very early every day and he works for more than 10 hours a day. So he is always busy, and he looks very tired when he gets home. He likes reading newspapers. He usually reads it after supper. So he gets lots of news.

    My mother is two years younger than my father. She works as a doctor. She works in a very big hospital. She is hard-working and patient. She is not tall and has two big eyes. She loves my brother and me and she is very nice to us. She always buys some books for us. She wants us to be top students. She also cares for our diet and life.

    My grandparents don't go to work anymore. They have retired. They usually stay at home every day. In the morning they go to the park and do morning exercises. In the afternoon, they drink tea with their friends. In the evening, they enjoy themselves watching TV and reading newspapers.

    I'm 12 years old. I like reading. I always read books after school. I like singing, too. My favourite singer is Angela. Her music is very nice. In my bedroom, there are lots of posters of Angela on the wall. My brother is three years older than me. I love him even though he troubles me sometimes.

    We live in a flat in a building. The building is very modern. There are about ten floors and we live on the top floor. I think our flat is very wonderful.
