In Australia Christmastime (圣诞期间) is always in the hottest
period in summer! Without snowing, white Christmas never comes to Australia. It's

different holiday from the one that you know.
Beaches are very popular during that time.
You can even see Santa Claus (圣诞老人)
surfing on the ocean! On the day, families like to go to downtown (市区) to watch the carnival
parade (嘉年华游行). everyone dresses up. They
are as beautiful as the performers (表演者).
And this makes the carnival more colourful. At night, people go to different
outdoor parties to continue their happy hour.
It may be a pity that Australians cannot
enjoy a white Christmas, but they never feel upset because they have a special,
happy holiday.
