Most people wrongly believe that when people reach old age, their families place them in nursing homes. They {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (leave) in the hands of strangers for the rest of their lives. Their grown children visit them {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(occasion), but more often, they do not have any regular visitors. The truth is that the idea is an unfortunate myth — an {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (imagine) story. In fact, family members provide the most care {#blank#}4{#/blank#} elderly people need. Samuel Prestoon, a sociologist, has studied {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the American family is changing. He has reported that by the time the average American couple reach 40 years of age, they have more parents than children. Moreover, because people today live longer after an illness than before, family members must provide long-term care. Social workers interviewed caregivers to find out why they took {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the responsibility of caring for {#blank#}8{#/blank#} elderly relative. Most hoped that by helping someone, they would deserve care when they became old and dependent.     A rainforest is an area{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(cover) by tall trees with the total high rainfall spreading quite equally through the year. Losing the rainforests may also influence wind and rainfall patterns, potentially causing certain natural disasters all over the world.

    In the past hundred years, humans {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(begin) destroying rainforests in search of three major resources: land for crops, wood for paper and other products, land for raising farm {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (animal). This action affects the environment as a whole. For example, a lot of carbon dioxide in the air comes from burning the rainforests. People{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(obvious) have a need for the resources we gain from cutting trees,{#blank#}7{#/blank#} we will suffer much more than we will benefit.

    Rainforests are often called the world's drug store. More than 25% of the medicines we use today come from plants in rainforests. However, fewer than 1% of rainforest plants have been examined for their {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(medicine) value. It is extremely likely {#blank#}9{#/blank#}our best chance to cure diseases {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(lie) somewhere in the world's shrinking rainforests.

    In his book, Intentional Living, author John Maxwell shares that back in 1976, he received a gift from one of his{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(assist).As he unwrapped the gift, he saw that it was a book{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(name) The Greatest Story Ever Told. He couldn't wait{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(read) it.

    But when he opened the book, he was{#blank#}4{#/blank#}astonish) to see that the pages were blank. Inside the book was{#blank#}5{#/blank#}note that said, "John, your life is before you. Fill these pages with kind acts and good thoughts of your heart. Write a great story about your life." The intention of writing the story of his life{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(excite) him. Then, he began to write his book.

    Every day we live out our story through our words, actions and decisions. But we must remember to live with intention to focus{#blank#}7{#/blank#}what matters most in life and to regain that focus when we get changed. Without intention, we can become unfocused in things{#blank#}8{#/blank#}needn't add to a life of significance and difference in our world.

    Life isn't perfect and it's always hard, {#blank#}9{#/blank#}we need reminders in our life from a friend, author, blogger, pastor or our inner spirit to re-focus us on the things that matter and make us live{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(positive).

    Digital receipts offer a few improvements over {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(tradition) paper receipts. One is health-related. Lots of receipt paper contains bisphenol—A, or BPA. There have been times when I've let something go unreturned {#blank#}7{#/blank#} I didn't have the receipt. I'm betting I'm not alone on that.

    Some businesses, particularly local ones, use newer point of sale systems like Square that will {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (automatic) send you a digital receipt if you've already received one from another business that uses Square. When you pay with the same credit you did at the first seller, and you've already provided {#blank#}9{#/blank#} email address to the Square system, you {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (get) a receipt in your email minutes later.
