I'm David. When I was 13, my parents decided that I should go to England to improve my English. I had never been to other countries before, so I felt a little worried. My parents prepared everything for my journey. My plane was due(预定) to leave at 9:30 am and arrive in two hours. I phoned the English family who I would stay with and they told me they would wait for me at the airport.

Unluckily my plane to London was delayed(推迟). I tried to phone the English family again but I couldn't speak to them because they had already left home for the airport.

When I arrived in London, it was already 1:30 pm. I went to get my luggage(行李) but I couldn't find it. I became very worried. Luckily, the airport workers were very helpful and efficient. I didn't wait long — they found it 10 minutes later.

My English family were quite kind. I learned a lot of English because I spent most of the days talking in English. I played computer games with the little boy in my English family. I also taught him how to play chess. Sometimes I told him stories I learned from my family.

I missed my family during my stay in London, but I also felt sad when my stay came to an end. My English family held a party for me. I enjoyed it very much. I'll never forget that summer in London! It is one of the most wonderful experiences I've ever had.

From a young age, I had known what I wanted to become. 1 an accident made me redefine(重新定义) myself.

To me, skating was the most important. There was 2 else in this world that filled my heart with such happiness. I spent twenty-four hours a week practising my 3 . Having no social life or other interests but skating, my devotion(挚爱) brought me first place medals in nearly every 4 .

Class One was having a meeting. The students were having a discussion in the classroom. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}were they talking about? The topic was the best invention in our normal life. Tom thought the clock was the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} useful. It could tell the time exactly. W{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the clock, we didn't know when to leave for school. Maria showed us a crayon on the desk. It could be used {#blank#}4{#/blank#} draw beautiful pictures. So it was helpful. Peter preferred computers. He said that the world {#blank#}5{#/blank#} connected together by computers through the internet. We could get the information far away in a minute. There were also tiny computers inside the patients, bodies. These computers were used {#blank#}6{#/blank#}treating illnesses. Lily was certain that the robots were important. The robots {#blank#}7{#/blank#} worked in the factories helped people perform different tasks. It's no doubt that all of above changed our habits, they make us work and live more comfortably. P{#blank#}8{#/blank#}in the future we can invent something for ourselves. I'm sure we have the ability to be a real inventor.

Once upon a time, there was a huge crab(螃) living in the mountains

One day, the crab decided to return to the ocean. While he was moving to the sea, the whole earth shook.

An old man felt the land shake. He shouted loudly to his villagers,"We must build a raft(木筏)! Quickly! Quickly!

"Why should we do that?" asked one of them

"Because he is so massive that when he dives into the ocean, it will cause a flood!" The old man replied, "We must build a raft big enough to hold all of us and many animals!"

The villagers accepted his warming and began working together. Some of them cut down trees, while others were busy building the raft. After seeing what villagers did, the animals of the forest sensed that danger was coming so they joined in the work as well. The monkeys and the water buffalo wove(编) ropes, while the horses and the tiny mouse deer helped to pull trees from the forest. Finally, the old man tied one end of the rope to the raft and the other end to a big tree.

"What is that for?"asked a child.

The old man smiled, "This will help us find our way home."

Finally, the raft was ready. Not long after, this big crab completed his journey and jumped into the sea! Suddenly, the huge waves flooded the land. The villagers and animals climbed onto the life raft, which was swept away by the rushing water. People and animals were all in fear!

But the raft suddenly came to a stop because of the rope which was tied to the tree. People and animals hugged together for warmth. They sang to keep their spirits when they floated(漂浮) on the raft

The crab finally settled on the sea bottom. Soon after, the sea level returned to its original position, and the passengers found themselves back on land. Both humans and animals were happy to be alive! They turned to the old man, "Thanks for saving us by getting us to build a raft!"

But he smiled, "Oh, it was not me that saved you. We worked together-the men and women and children, and the animals too. When we work together, there's nothing we can't do."

My name is John.There is a swimming pool in my family yard.I swim in the pool almost every day in summer.After school，I go back home，put down the schoolbag and put on my swimwear.I open the pool gate and then jump into the water.Sometimes I don't remember to close the gate behind me.Then something funny happens.

My dog Ben loves water and he's a very good swimmer.He likes playing with us in the water.When he sees the pool gate open， ▲ .He loves swimming after me.When I stop，Ben barks （吠叫） all the time and I have to keep swimming.After half an hour，I get very tired，but Ben enjoys himself a lot.When we get out of the water，he is always happy to lick （舔） my face.
