    The new term is coming! It's time for school. Last term, I make little effort on my English, but my grades were not satisfying. During the holiday, I realized English was of great important and made up my mind to make a progress.     This morning, I, together with my parents, go to the second-hand book market near my home. There were so much people that we had to push their way through the crowd. Though the market was terribly noisy, but we felt quite pleasing to be able to pick up a really good bargain. Just as we were ready leave, however, a heavy rain began to pour down. Instead of seek shelter, my parents suggested we help a couple of stall owner pack their books. Under our help, all the books were free from the rain. Our timely help was great appreciated.

    I am sorry to write to you, but I feel it my responsibility to do so, so we should pay attention to our living environment while develop our economy. Yesterday we paid the visit to a chemical factory. When we go out of the factory, we saw that the environment nearby was so bad polluted. The water in the river was so black as coal. There were no living things in them. What's worse, the crops there didn't grow well. We hope our government can make the factory to take measures to prevent the pollution.     Our neighbor Butler owns a 80-acre farm. Visitors from cities can pick melons, tomato and cabbages by themselves. After school I feel like go to the farm and playing with some other children there. These little children can learn much things about farm work during their first trip to there. One visitor said Butler's farm bring back good memories of their childhood in the countryside. "It's like what I used to have as a kid, it is nice to bring my child here," he said. I think the farm actual gives a happy time to those which are close to nature.

    Hello, everyone! I would like to share my travel experience for you. Last summer, ours school had an exchange programme with an American school, but I took part in it with many classmates. We stay at host families, that gave us an opportunity to learn more about America. The main part of our programme was to experience the school life in the America. Compare with Chinese students, American students were very open and active. Besides, they had less homeworks and fewer exams. During the visit, I made friends with some American students, who were very interesting in Chinese culture. I think the programme is of great benefit to us as well the American students.

    I like travelling and my dream of visiting Beijing, the capital city of our country, come true during the National Day holidays this year. My mother booked an one-day tour for me. On the morning of October 1st I went to Tian'anmen Square with one of my classmates, there we watched the flag-raising ceremony. As I watched the flag rising slowly, I sang the national anthem, feeling extreme proud. Several hours later, a grand military parade was held mark the People's Republic of China's 70th founding anniversary. In the afternoon we decided to go to other famous tourist attraction, like the Great Wall. When we reached the destination, it was crowded with tourists. I was glad for which those volunteers had done for little kids and elderly people. Standing on the Great wall, we couldn't help admire the splendid scenery. This travelling, with doubt, meant a lot of to me.
