    Three years ago I failed an important exam in my life and become a student in an ordinary school. Disappointing as I felt at the shabby campus and the poorly equipped classroom, I found the teachers patiently and considerate. Besides, I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in class. I decided make the best of it. I worked hard and got along good with my teachers and classmates. Whenever I had difficulties, they are always available. Soon, I became one of the top student in my class, and which greatly increased my confidence and got me motivated.

    My experience tell me that it is not what you are given but how you make use for it that determines who you are.

    I don't remember exact how old I was when I began to ride a bike. I only remembered how I practiced riding a bike in early years. When I first successfully rode a bike, that remains a vivid memory, my brother helped me with holding the back seat of the bike when I was riding. “Wow, I did it!” cried I, as soon as he noticed I was riding without his hands hold it! I learnt quickly, and soon, even though my feet were not touching the ground, but I was able to cycle around six kilometer a day to school! It's so lovely to remember which happened at that time.

    Mistakes are unavoidable in life .But attitudes towards it may make difference.

    I still remember how my spoken English was improved. In the beginning, I always kept silent in our oral class to avoid make mistakes. Before long my teacher got to know about his situation, he encouraged me to speak out that I thought. Whenever I made mistakes and felt discouraging, my teacher and my classmate would help me to find out my problem. I also joined in an English club to get more chances to speak. Practice made perfect. Now I can talk fluent in English.

    Just as the saying goes, “Every bean has its black”. Don´t be afraid of making mistakes .Learning from mistakes, and success is just waiting for us.

    Yesterday, I read article about the Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the longer sea-crossing bridge in the world. It's 55 kilometers long, which lifespan(使用寿命) is set at 120 years. And it can stand heavy storm and earthquakes. What's more, the travel time among Hongkong and Zhuhai is cut from 3 hours to just 30 minutes.

    After reading the article, I am wildly excited. In my opinion, drive a car on the bridge was an enjoyable experience. Besides, my dad didn't agree with me, because she was not skillful at switching freely between Chinese driving. Though I can understand him now, but I do hope someday we can drive on the bridge.

    We have been travelling for more than a week already but arrived in Saudi Arabia today. Most people here wear traditional type of long and loose clothing that cover the whole body. Saudi Arabia is in the desert, and in summer, the weather is extreme hot. One of the tour guide told us that it gets as hotter as 50℃ every summer. Wear this kind of clothing may be very comfortable in that weather, but this is winter and quite cool now. During the day in winter, it was about 22℃ and about 13℃ in the evening. I think I will find the weather a bit of cold when we return to China.
