There was once a young mouse that lived in a hole. One day, the young mouse looked out of the hole, a nice smell came to his1. “Cheese!” the mouse said happily to2. “I'll have it for breakfast.” But he remember his 3words,“Always wait before you go for a piece of cheese.” So the young mouse waited4. Then he heard a quiet “meow” and he knew the cat was there. “I'm glad that I listen to my parents and learned to5. ” he said.

    The next morning, the nice smell came to his nose again. This time he did not hear any cat's noises,6very quiet “woof, woof”.“It's a dog!” he thought. “If the dog is there, the cat won't be there. So I'm7.” Then the mouse ran out of the hole and started8the cheese. He didn't see the cat9the cat caught him. When the cat finished her10, he said to himself, “I'm glad that I listened to my parents and learned a second language.”

    I got very tired after doing all the family shopping in the town. I wanted to have a rest before catching the train. I 1 a newspaper and some chocolate and went into the station coffee shop. It was a cheap self-service place with long tables to 2 at. I put my heavy bag down on the floor, 3 the newspaper and the chocolate on the table and then went to get a cup of 4.

    When I came back with the coffee, a boy was sitting in the next seat and he had started to eat my chocolate!

    Several weeks ago, our headmaster, Mr. Brown, told us that our school had been chosen to compete on Smart Aleck-a game show. My best friend Nancy and I both 1 it. Nancy has a good imagination, and I know a lot of history. So we thought we'd be good 2 for the team.

    A few days later, Mr. Brown held a meeting with everyone interested in the 3 .He told us that Smart Aleck used a five-member team and three more people would be needed as backup (替补). Mr. Brown said we would have a 4 among all the students present and the top eight scorers would become the team and the backup. Everybody agreed that this was a 5 way to decide.

    I was bored last night. So I went to watch the film Treasure Island. I'm not a 1 of pirates(海盗), and I didn't watch many pirate movies. I think this movie is the best one I have seen. It took me to a world of pirates. Though they are pirates, 2 they aren't scary. Eddie Izzard 3 the role of Long John Silver in the movie. I think he acted best. I have never thought much of him. As an actor before, but the movie certainly beat my mind. Toby Regbo, who played Jim Hawkins, performed very 4, too. He told us that the real treasure to us was kindness, not the gold on the island.     When you want the answer to a question, but your teachers aren't around or your teachers are too busy to answer your question. Then do you feel1? When you come across hard math2, are you too shy to ask teachers for help?

    Hu Xincheng, a 16-year-old3 , comes from Yongkang Second High School, Zhejiang She used to ask the teachers for help when she had to do4math problems. But now, she turns to a5 for help.
