阅读短文,然后根据短文内容简要回答问题。

Once a king got two nice falcons(猎鹰) from his son. He had never seen such beautiful falcons before. He loved them so much and he ordered the best falconer to train them to fly.

After several months, the king came to see how the training was going on. He found that one falcon had already been able to fly high in the sky, while the other one was staying on the branch(树枝) of a tree quietly without moving.

The king called all his falconers together and ordered them to try every way they could to make it fly. But none of them succeeded. One day, while the king was taking a walk in the forest, an idea came to his mind. He decided to find someone who knew the natural environment well to solve the problem. Then he sent for a farmer who lived in the forest into his palace to train it at once.

The next morning, the king saw the other falcon flying above in the sky freely. "It is unbelievable!" shouted the king. "How could you make it happen?"

The farmer replied, “It's very easy. I just cut off the branch where the falcon rested.”

It is always the same to humans. We all have "two flying wings in our hearts as well, but we often seem not to notice them and stay where we feel safe and comfortable. We won't realize we can fly so high and freely until the "branch" we are resting on breaks.

(1)、Where did the king get the falcons?
(2)、Why did the king ask the farmer to train the falcon?
(3)、What did the farmer do to make the falcon fly?
(4)、What do you think of the farmer?
(5)、To reach high, can we stay where we feel safe and comfortable?

Traveling has always been a good way to relax. But this is not true for Xiao Lin(not her real name).

In November, Xiao Lin took a trip to Lijiang, a tourist city in Yunnan province, and had dinner at a restaurant. She had a fight with a group of local people because they made a joke with her while she was eating. Later, they beat her heavily and her face was injured(受伤)badly, reported CCTV.

This made the public very _________(anger). In fact, she is not the first person to be injured at famous scenic spots(景区) in China. Last month, the National Tourism Administration(国家旅游局) gave serious warnings to three national 5A scenic spots. It also asked them to change and improve in six months.

The three spots are the Old Town of Lijiang, Jingpo Lake in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang, and Laohutan ocean Park in Dalian, Liaoning. According to People's Daily, the three spots received the most complains(投诉) from visitors during this Spring Festival.

“We're sorry for our bad work,” the Old Town of Lijiang government wrote on its Sina Weibo account. “We are open to tourists' suggestions, and will make things right.”

If the three spots don't correct themselves in six months, the National Tourism Administration will remove(去除) them from the 5 A scenic spot list,  reported Guangming Daily.

“I'm glad to hear that the spots will improve themselves,” said a Sina Weibo user, who once went to Lijiang but had a bad experience there. “I hope they will change into better ones.”

My challenge for you is this: to read a book for 15 minutes a day. Let me explain where the challenge came from.

I have many things in common with my dad, like music taste and sense of humor, but sadly reading isn't one of them. I can happily spend a whole day reading a book. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} He reads e-mails, websites and papers for work, but not books. He is a busy person, with a short attention span, so I think that sitting down to read for just 15 minutes a day is a good way to introduce him to reading. Giving yourself a goal or challenge is a good way to change a habit or achieve something, so why not try to develop a new habit of reading?

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} Everyone is different and has their own interests, but I think there are lots of benefits of reading, which screen-based activities (games, films,

TV) don't have.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Looking at screens can cause tire eyes, and you should avoid looking at screens for a long time.

Another thing I love about reading is being transported to another world. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} So you go to bed. Because you think more about the world of the book, rather than the real world and the problems you have during the day, so you can truly relax.

I also love people. I enjoy hearing what people are doing and finding out what people think.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} It also teaches me to see things from other people's point of view, and understand other people's decisions or opinions.

So give it a try! Include 15 minutes of reading in your daily schedule and see the difference you can make.

A. Firstly, it's better for your eyes.

B. But my dad can't read a book for longer than 5 minutes.

C. I often forget the time or things that are going on around me.

D. Reading ten thousand books is like travelling ten thousand miles.

E.  Reading gives me the chance to get to know hundreds of new people.

F. You can download free e-books online and read them on your computer.

G. I know lots of people would rather relax at the computer or in front of the TV.

Answer the questions.

You don't need to get in a time-travelling machine to see how technology will change our lives, such as the way we shop. Several new technologies that are to change your buying habits already appear. Let's see what's in store for your future shopping.

Try it on, virtually(虚拟地). Want to shop online for a new pair of glasses? You don't need to guess which pair looks best on you一 use the eBay Fashion iPhone app to try a pair of glasses you re checking out on a picture of your face. But what about buying something bigger? Thanks to Microsoft Kindest s action tracking(跟踪) camera, you can cover clothes on your screen body. You can even choose the background of your virtual fitting room to improve your shopping experience.

Get a perfect, custom fit. Everyone's body is shaped differently. To get a perfect fit, you sometimes have to get your clothes changed. But by using 3D scanning(扫描) technology, all the clothes you buy will fit your body perfectly. Some companies scan your body using high-tech to get the real sizes, so they can make special clothes just for you.

High-tech shopping carts(推车) and checkout counters(收银台). High- tech shopping carts could be common in malls and supermarkets in the future. Microsoft Kinect-enabled carts are under test. The cart can follow you along the aisles(通道), controlled only by your movement and your voice.

In the United States, several supermarkets use a certain set called "Scan It" that gives buyers the freedom to scan products on their own while they shop. If we don't want to wait in line before the checkout counters, we can use Toshiba's new Object Recognition Scanner. The machine identifies(辨认) a product as soon as it's placed in front of a camera just by its shape and colour, even if it has no bar code.
