Three turtles

    Three turtles live in a house. They decide to have a cup of coffee. So they go to a care. Just as they go into the care, it starts to rain. They have no umbrella with them. So the biggest one says to the smallest one,   "Go home and get the umbrella."

    The little turtle answers, "I will, if you don't drink my coffee when I go to get the umbrella." "We don't." The other two promise. Two hours later, the big turtle says to the middle turtle, "Well, I guess he isn't coming back, so we can drink his coffee." Just then, there is a voice. "If you do, I will not go to get the umbrella."

Chen Jie: Good morning, John. How are you?

John: Fine, thank you. Chen Jie, this is my friend Ben.

Chen Jie: Nice to meet you.

Ben: Nice to meet you, too.

John: Let's paint. I have a red crayon.

Ben: I have a green crayon and a yellow crayon.

Chen Jie: I have a blue crayon. Let's paint.

Ben: We paint a flower! It has four colours.

    Bill Gates has a nice house on a hill by Lake Washington. Inside the house there are seven bedrooms, twenty four bathrooms, six kitchens and six fireplaces. It even has a theatre, a library, an exercise room and a swimming pool. You can say the house is very big. However, it doesn't look so big, because a large part of it is in the hills.

    The house is famous for many reasons. One is its large size, and another is its amazing electronic systems(电子系统).Before a visitor goes into the house, he or she gets a chip(芯片）at the gate. The chip sends information about the visitor to the electronic systems in the house. When the visitor goes into the house, lights are turned on automatically（自动地）.When the visitor goes from one room to another, he or she can hear music.

    Bill Gates began to build his house in 1990. It took him about 7 years to build it.

    I am Chen Jie. I usually get up at 7 o'clock but not on the weekend. I go to school at 7:30. We have four classes in the morning and three classes in the afternoon. I like Chinese very much. We have a Chinese class at 9:30. I go home at 5:30 pm. I eat dinner at 6:30 pm. Then I do my homework at nine o'clock.

    Nowadays, more and more women go out for work. Women can do anything they want. Everything can be women's work.

    This is Emily. She is a worker in a toy factory. Every morning, she goes to work by subway. She likes playing computer games with her friends.

    This is Lisa. She is an engineer. She likes building new buildings. She often goes here and there by plane. She likes taking pictures.

    This is Rose. She is a postwoman. She works at a post office. She likes singing when she is sending letters.

    This is Alice. She is a police officer. Her job is to help people. She often goes from street to street by car. She likes playing basketball very much.

    This is Julia. She is a scientist. She works in a university. She walks to work every morning. She likes reading books about science.

    THE YEAR OF 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Italy （中意建交五十周年）. To celebrate the China﹣Italy friendship, 2020 was set to be the China﹣Italy Year of Culture and Tourism.

    The opening ceremony （开幕式） of the event was held in Rome on January 21. During the year﹣long event, nearly one hundred cultural and tourism activities will be held in both countries.

    Some big Chinese museums, such as the Palace Museum and the National Museum, are working on swapping exhibitions （互换展览） with Italian museums. Chinese artworks will also be displayed at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition （国际建筑双年展） in Venice in the upcoming months.

Italy is a popular tourist destination among Chinese tourists. The country attracts people with its rich history of art and culture. Today, a large number of Italian tourists travel to China for its beautiful landscapes and cultural heritage （文化遗产）.
