It is a busy morning. Look at the traffic lights and be careful. The light is green. People are crossing the street. The boys and the girls are going to school. The young man is going to work. The old man is going to the park. The cars are running

    Jane is only four and doesn't go to school. But she is very clever and learns a lot from her grandpa — an old teacher. One day, Jane's mother, Mrs. John takes her to a party. The guests all praise a rich woman's boy. Mrs. John asks him a few questions, but all his answers are wrong. Jane begins to laugh(嘲笑) at him.
    The rich woman is angry. She tells her friend—a teacher to ask Jane some questions, but the girl's answers are all right. Then she asks, "There are 3 birds in a tree. How many will be left if I kill (杀死) one?"
    “One.” Answers Jane.
    “You're wrong!” Calls out the rich woman. “All of them will fly away!”
     “Do you think a dead bird can fly?” Asks the little girl.
    The guests begin to laugh and the woman's face turns red.

Seasons in Canada

    I live in Canada. I love summer! In summer, the weather is usually very hot, and I can swim in the sea.

    Spring is beautiful, but in Canada it often rains. And it is hard to plant flowers in the rain. I love my garden! It is so nice to watch the flowers grow.

    In autumn I can pick apples. They are so delicious in the autumn. I also love to watch the leaves fall. Is that why we can call autumn "fall"?

    It usually snows in winter in Canada. When it snows, I can ski.

    I love all the seasons. They are all beautiful and I can find many things to do.

    Long ago, there were three little pigs. When they grew up, they left home to build their own house. The first little pig built a house of hay. It was easy to make. It took him one day to build the house. The second little pig built a house of wood. It took him three lays. The third little pig built a house of stone. It took him three months to finish the house. The house was strong and beautiful.

    One day, a bad wolf came. He wanted to eat the pigs. He blew the hay house down. The first little pig ran to the second pig's house. The wolf then blew the wooden house down. The two little pigs ran to the third pig's home. The bad wolf ran after them to the stone house, He blew and blew. He couldn't blow the house down. The three little pigs were save.

    When Ruby was a baby, she was very cute. She had short hair and big blue eyes. She was in a pink baby clothes. She could crawl (爬) along the floor. She could play with blocks. She liked to lie on the floor with her mum. She could put the blocks on top of each other. She could sit in a high chair and eat from a spoon. She could eat soft food like potato, pumpkin, yoghurt and banana.

    Now Ruby is ten years old. She has long black hair. She likes eating beef and vegetables. She can do more things. She can read, write, draw and count. She can play the piano. She sometimes goes to the music hall to enjoy the concerts. She is growing up.
