This happened a week ago. That morning, I {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(accidental) got on the wrong bus to work because I was reading the news on my phone. I had to walk several{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(block) back to my office on a path I had never taken before.

    On the way, I met a man {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(sit) on a beach, who looked very unhappy, so I asked him what was wrong{#blank#}4{#/blank#}him. He said his car {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(steal) and he had no money to get to the airport to meet his wife. I told him I could help him and asked him to wait there for me. I went to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} nearby bank and got some cash. When I returned, the man was still standing there, watching me get close to him. When I gave him the money, he hugged me, thanked me,{#blank#}7{#/blank#} started crying! I wished him{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (safe) to get to the airport.

    I stopped at my usual restaurant for my breakfast and, at the door, I met {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (other) man who politely said, “I don't want your money, but could you help me got some food?” I said yes and paid for this man's order. I wished him a good day.

    I thought I was {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (luck) to meet the two people who needed help. I felt glad to help them.

    Li Hua and Wang Hai are two students of Senior Three.{#blank#}1{#/blank#} of them work hard but they have various learning methods.

    Li Hua listens to her teachers {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (attentive) and asks her teacher {#blank#}3{#/blank#}help as soon as possible if she has some problems. Because of this, she spends less time {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (do) her homework, so it is{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (certainly) that she can keep energetic in the day. However, Wang Hai has quite a {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (difference) way of learning {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (compare) to Li Hua. He likes to sit up late at night doing his homework, so he often feels sleepy in class.     In my opinion, Li Hua learns more effectively in class and has more free time to enjoy herself. So I prefer {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (she) learning method.

    It's so close, and yet it always seemed so far away. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(get) to the rural district just a few hundred {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(meter) away on the other side of the bay, native people used to have to jump on a boat or drive about 160 kilometers－part of that journey on {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(dust) road.

    "Mozambique had long planned to build a bridge linking the north and south of the bay, but nothing came of them because {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a lack of money and technology,"  said Wang Lijun, vice­president of China Road and Bridge Corporation (公司), which built {#blank#}6{#/blank#} bridge.

    The Maputo­Katembe Bridge, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(open) in November after four years of construction, is part of the Maputo Bridge and Link Roads project which {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(build) by CRBC. It {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(be) 187 kilometers long and serves as an important highway that directly links Maputo to the border with South Africa, to the south.

    "By night, when the lights are on, it's {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(especial) impressive," Wang said, and as a landmark it could help develop tourism and attract overseas investment for Mozambique.

    Chinese New Year, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} starts on the first day of the Chinese lunar calendar (阴历), is considered as China's most important holiday. It {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (know) as the Spring Festival.

    The Spring Festival starts at the beginning {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the new moon. It often happens between January and February. It usually  {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (last) about one month until Lantern Festival (元宵节), which gives everyone plenty of time for celebration.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (traditional), red envelopes with money in are gifted during the Spring Festival celebrations. It's a custom which goes back to ancient times. However, when the tradition {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (start) is unknown. Whatever the reason is, the red envelope is an important part of Chinese New Year to this day.

    The firework is another big part of Chinese New Year. A {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (write) shared the following story on a website. An old man saved a town from a terrible monster (怪兽)by throwing many {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (bamboo) into the fire. The explosion caused by the bamboo frightened off the monster. As {#blank#}9{#/blank#} result, Chinese people set off fireworks (爆竹)during Chinese New Year celebrations {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (avoid) the evil spirits of the past.
