Classes are over at 3:30 p. m. , so we always play after that. Most of us like to play at school some do their homework, some play at school. Sometimes we clean our classroom and school garden. Sometimes we play ballgames in the playground. On weekends we always visit Mrs. Li. She is an eighty-year-old woman. We read newspaper to her. Tell her some interesting things about school. We talk to her. We help her do some housework. Mrs. Li likes to be with us. We feel happy with each other.

    Today Daming ate a hamburger for breakfast. He likes hamburgers.But his little sister doesn't like hamburgers . She likes hot dogs . Tomorrow is Daming's birthday . His mum is going to make a cake for him . Daming is going to eat lots of delicious food . He is very happy .

Tom: Hello! Do you go to school every day?

Lily: No, we go to school from Monday to Friday.

Tom: What are you going to do this Sunday?

Lily: I'm going to swim.

Tom: What about your brother, Jack?

Lily: He's going to fly a kite.

Tom: Where is he now?

Lily: He's at home. He's making the kite.

Tom: Can I go and see him?

A Picnic

    Today is Sunday. It's a sunny day. Sarah and Amy are out for a picnic. They go to a park. It's a big park. They can see many people there. There are many green trees in the park. Near the gate, there is a lake. Some ducks are swimming in the lake and you can see lots of fishes there.

    Sarah and Amy bring many things to eat, such as bread, cake, sausages(香肠), hot dogs and hamburgers. They have a picnic under a tree. After picnic they read some books and talk with each other. They have a good time.

    Today is the Lantern Festival (元宵节). The Lantern Festival comes after the Spring Festival.

    The weather is often cold. You can see a full moon (满月) in the sky.

    At the Lantern Festival, you can see many beautiful lanterns in the street. The streets and shops are bright and colourful at night.

    People like guessing the riddles on the lanterns. They also eat yuanxiao for dinner. Yuanxiao is a kind of Chinese food for this festival.

    Children often light (点亮) beautiful lanterns for fun.

    Mr Smith has a nice, brown coat. He loves it a lot. But his wife doesn't like it because it's old. She often says, "Give it to a poor man." But Mr Smith says, "No, I like this coat."

    One day, a cigarette falls on it and makes a hole in it. So Mrs Smith says, "Please don't wear it again."Mr Smith takes it to a tailor's shop and says to the tailor, "Please make another coat like this one." The tailor does what he is told and makes a new coat. Then the tailor makes a hole in it again with his cigarette in the same place.
