It is a hot day in summer. A lion is walking along a lake. He is looking for something to eat. He is very hungry. A duck is swimming in the river. The lion is very excited to see him. ‘Aha, there is my lunch,' the lion says to himself.

    "Hello, Mr Duck!" "Go away, bad lion!" says the duck. "I have good news for you." "What is it?" asks the duck. "I don't want other animals to hear it. Please come here." says the lion. The duck swims out of the river and runs to the lion. The lion eats him up quickly.

    Hello, my name is Zhang Peng. I get up at six forty. I have breakfast at 7:10. And then I go to school. I have four classes in the morning and two classes in the afternoon. I have lunch at school. I go home at four fifty. I have dinner at six thirty.  After that I do my homework ,then I go to bed at nine thirty.

    Mary is a little girl. She is only four. She is not at school. She can't read or write. But her sister Joan is a schoolgirl. She is ten years old. She can read and write.

    One day, Joan sees her little sister in the room. She is at the table. There is a pencil on her hand. She is writing.

    "What are you writing, Mary?" she asks.

    "I'm writing a letter to my friend Rose."

    "Buy how can you? You can't write," says her sister.

    "Well," says Mary, "it doesn't matter. Rose can't read"

    It's round. It's very hot. It's in the sky. Right, it's the sun. The sun gives us light and makes us warm. In a whole day, the temperature is different because the sun just rises in the morning and sets in the evening. The sun is high in the sky at noon and in the afternoon. No Light means no warm or hot.

    This is Sam's family. He's doing his homework. His sister is eating a cake. His mother is watching TV. His father is reading a book. His grandmother is watering the flowers.
