I'm Chen Jie. I don't go to school on the weekend. I often do my homework on Saturday morning. I play computer games on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday morning, I often read books and watch TV. In the afternoon, I help my mother do housework.

    Today is August 17 th. The sun is shining. The wind blows gently. It is very hot. The Lis are at the beach on holiday. Look, Peter is swimming in the sea. He swims very fast. His lather shouts to him: "Don't swim too far. The sea is very deep." Peter's sister Jenny doesn't like to swim in the sea. She is collecting shells on the beach. She has a lot of shells in her bag. There is a little boy beside Jenny. Fie is eating a banana. Then he puts the peel on the sand. "Hey, boy. Don't throw the rubbish on the sand. It's dirty." Jenny says. The boy's face turns red.

    The weather in Shanghai is not always good. In winter it is often cold and wet(湿的). In summer it is very hot. Spring is very beautiful. It is not very hot or cold. But we have a lot of （许多) rain in spring. Autumn is the best season (季节). It's dry(干的) ,and it is sunny and warm all the time.

    Sally is twelve years old. She comes from the US. Now she studies in a primary school in Chengdu. She can speak English and a little Chinese. She has a good friend named Judy. Judy is one year younger than Sally. Judy is from Australia. She can speak Chinese well. So she often helps Sally with Chinese.

    They have different hobbies. Judy likes playing the violin, but Sally doesn't like playing any instruments. She doesn't like music at all. She likes reading novels. Harry Potter is her favourite novel. She would like to read it again.

    I have three good friends. They are Linda, John and Danny. Linda is a girl. She has long hair and big eyes. She is beautiful. She likes toy rabbits. She has a white toy rabbit. It has long ears and small eyes. John is a boy. He has a big head. He has short hair. He has a toy plane. It's yellow. It can fly. Danny is a boy too. He has a small head. He has short hair and small eyes. He has a toy car. He can drive (驾驶) the toy car!
