The Safe (保险箱)

—-- A Rich Man Finds the Best Way to be Truly Rich

    Once upon a time, a rich man hired a great mathematician (数学家) to find him a way to make him more money. The rich man was so g{#blank#}1{#/blank#}that he even built a giant safe and his dream was to fill it with gold and jewels.

    The mathematician worked on the problem for months. One night he said to the rich man "I've done it! My idea is perfect! You'll be wealthy b{#blank#}2{#/blank#} your wildest dreams." The rich man was d{#blank#}3{#/blank#} to hear this. Before he left on a long journey, he promised the mathematician double pay to run his business for him.

    When the rich man returned, he found that all of his wealth was gone. Very angry, he asked the mathematician to explain. The mathematician told him he'd g{#blank#}4{#/blank#} everything away to people in the neighborhood.

    The mathematician said "There is a limit to how much wealth one can get by himself. Then I realized that many people could help us a{#blank#}5{#/blank#} our goal. By helping o{#blank#}6{#/blank#}, you could gain the most!  "

    Disappointed, the rich man went away. As he was walking, every neighbor he met was so thankful to him that they o{#blank#}7{#/blank#} him anything he needed.

    Over the next few weeks, the man saw the mathematician's idea really w{#blank#}8{#/blank#}. He was received with great honor w{#blank#}9{#/blank#} he went. Everyone did all they could to help him.

    He no longer dreamed of keeping his wealth in a safe. I{#blank#}10{#/blank#} he shared it with hundreds of friends. He was now truly rich.
