Shakespeare's Hamletis {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (probable) the most important play by the most important writer in English. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (see) quite a few productions of Hamletand read the play many times, I was full of confidence— until the Peking Opera came to town! {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (date) back to the 18th century, Peking Opera has over two hundred years of history. Does this mean it's {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(easy) than a Shakespeare play to understand? {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (find) out the answer, I just had to go and see The Revenge of Prince Zidan— the Peking Opera version of Hamlet. 

My favourite part of the show was how the characters moved on stage. I had never seen Prince Hamlet do a backflip before! That was simply incredible. It was so dazzling and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (energy) that I wasn't sure whether the characters were performers {#blank#}7{#/blank#} athletes! Everyone was {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(clap). Before {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (experience) The Revenge of Prince Zidan, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it. But, in fact, I was on the edge of my seat! Feeling the strong emotions of love, anger, fear and grief in the performance, I could easily recognise the theme of Hamlet. So, if you want to see a show {#blank#}10{#/blank#} combines music, singing, drama, poetry and costume design with explosive effect, The Revenge of Prince Zidanticks all the right boxes!

Why We Should Record Travel Moments

On a rainy summer day, I took a train to Switzerland and trekked through the mud to a medieval fortress high atop a cliff. After twisting through its dimly lit corridors, I finally {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (arrive) at the main viewpoint of Cave of the Fairies: a plunging 77m waterfall that shoots from underground into a sparkling pool. As the waterfall wet my jacket, I closed my eyes and took out my phone {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (record) the rush of dreamy reality before me.

I had come in search of a sound, not a sight.

Throughout my travels, I've found myself {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (collect) sound recordings the way other people collect souvenirs. Just as some travellers take photos of landscapes or their food, I started doing this as an artistic way to help me remember some of the most interesting details of my trips.

Environmental scientist Lauren Kuehne said, "I think that once you start to listen, once you actually start to listen, you start to appreciate how much {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (big) the world is."

This attitude {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (echo) by Samara Kester, a retired emergency medicine physician who now serves on QPI's board. "A photograph is two dimensions. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} you are looking at something you're seeing, it's maybe 180 degrees, maybe 270 degrees. Sound is 360 degrees. You hear it all around you." Kester explained {#blank#}7{#/blank#} teaching herself to be a better listener has not only expanded her sense of travel, but helped her relive her travels once she's back home. "You immerse {#blank#}8{#/blank#} in that place again. You recreate those memories and therefore recreate the feelings you had, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} are very hard to express clearly. You can re-experience that and that will send you to where you were before."

Months later back in my L.A. home, I find myself popping on my headphones and listening back to the rush of falling water inside Cave of the Fairies. When I close my eyes, I {#blank#}10{#/blank#} feel the spray of water against my skin, the sense of letting my ears lead me on a faraway adventure. Mentally, I'm right back there — if only for a moment.

Not long ago, my daughter's shoes {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(damage) with a knife. She burst into tears. I took them to the shoemaker's. The man said he would add more scratches on both shoes as if the openings were made on purpose for a special style. I didn't fully understand him, but I decided to leave the shoes. Two days later I dropped by from work {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(collect) the shoes. I found more scratches on each shoe, but all the openings were patched by red leather and the stitches were twisted. The appearance looked {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( interesting) than ever.

The African penguin is expected to go extinct in the wild in just over a decade, given its current population decline. The main reason is a lack of food caused by disturbance to ocean conditions from global heating and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(compete) from the commercial fishing industry. According to a study, recently scientists {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(identify) a possible additional cause, one that is an entirely new threat and that further {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(prevent) the penguins from finding food: noise pollution from marine ships in a bay.

Crying is a natural response to emotions. Regardless of{#blank#}7{#/blank#} causes the tears to flow, the physical reaction is usually the same with puffy cheeks and tight eyes {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(lead) to streaming tears down one's face. Despite its stigma(污名), crying can be an act {#blank#}9{#/blank#} relieves tension and clears feelings of negativity and sadness. Crying can communicate our emotions to others and foster greater understanding and compassion. Ultimately, crying is a powerful tool we ought to use to free ourselves {#blank#}10{#/blank#} negativity.
