Mr. White works in a big office. He's able to deal with all kinds of matters, so he's always  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} more than his workmates. Of course he's often busy and has no time to do the housework. His wife {#blank#}2{#/blank#} him well and does all at home.
Bad luck! Their daughter was hurt in a traffic accident last month and had to be in {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . Mrs. White was looking after her there and she couldn't go home. As Mr. White {#blank#}4{#/blank#} did any cleaning, the rooms were all disorderly (凌乱的).
Yesterday morning, before Mr. White got up, the telephone {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . He sat up to answer it. His friend told him to write an important telephone number down. But he could find {#blank#}6{#/blank#} a pen nor a piece of paper. Then he found there {#blank#}7{#/blank#} much dust (灰尘) on the table and wrote the number on it. But soon he {#blank#}8{#/blank#} it and went to work.
Two hours later his wife came back and looked for a sweater for her daughter. Her husband came back while she was {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the table. He couldn't see the number on the table and called out{#blank#}10{#/blank#} , "Who let you clean the table?"

It's very important for everyone to protect the environment. As a student, I always try my {#blank#}1{#/blank#} to save energy at home. I turn off {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  when I don't need them. And I try to save water when I wash the dishes. I don't {#blank#}3{#/blank#} bottles or newspaper away because it's better to recycle them.
I think everyday activities at home can make a difference to the environment. I feel proud of {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, and I will not only keep saving energy but also advise others to do the same things as me. If everyone cares about {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the environment, I'm sure we'll have a better life.

    Once upon a time there was a man called Yue Yangzi in Henan who had a {#blank#}1{#/blank#}wife.

    One day, Yue picked up a piece of gold. Gladly, he rushed hack home to show it to his wife. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, his wife said, " I hear that a good man doesn't drink the water of Dao Spring (盗泉) and wouldn't pick up the things others lost. He would rather die {#blank#}3{#/blank#}food given by the people who disrespect him." Yue was very ashamed after hearing wife's words and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}the gold off into the fields and went to study in a far place.

    One year later, Yue came back home. His wife asked him the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}for his return.

    Yue said, "I was homesick and miss you very much."

    Hearing this, his wife took up a pair of scissors and walked to the loom (织布机), saying,

    "To make cloth, I weave (织) the cloth with one after {#blank#}6{#/blank#}silk thread inch by inch. If I cut the cloth with the scissors, all my efforts are {#blank#}7{#/blank#} Studying is also like this. You should get knowledge every day {#blank#}8{#/blank#}stopping." 

    Yue Yangzi was {#blank#}9{#/blank#}moved by his wife's words. Then he went back to his studies. This story reminds us {#blank#}10{#/blank#}to give up halfway.

    Sometimes when you're a teenager, you feel as if you're all alone and there's {#blank#}1{#/blank#} you can talk to.     Money doesn't grow on trees.

    When I was a teenager, I never learned {#blank#}7{#/blank#}to save money. I just spent it!
