The 54-year-old British comedy actor, Eddie Izzard, achieved the challenge—a sports charity fundraising. He took part in 27 marathons and ran 707 {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (mile) in all. He finished the last marathon in front of Union Buildings in South Africa where the president Nelson Mandela gave {#blank#}2{#/blank#} speech. He said it was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (difficult) thing that he had ever had. When he finished the whole marathon, people shouted his name and clapped (鼓掌) for him. He was very tired, but he was proud of {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(he).

    He was thankful to the people who donated (捐赠) money. In the past 27 days, he suffered {#blank#}5{#/blank#} many health problems. He had to rest for one day {#blank#}6{#/blank#} he didn't feel comfortable. As a result, he had to run two marathons on the last day.

    This was not his {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (one) time to take part in the sports charity fundraising. In 2009, it took him 51 days {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (run) 43 marathons through Britain. At last, he succeeded in {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (raise) 1.8 million pounds.
