    My father and I stayed at the South Lake Hotel for a week when we visit Beijing last month. It is in the downtown area, but it is easy to go to anywhere from the hotel by public transport. We lived in a comfortably double-room with a big bath. What I liked best were the free high-speed Internet connection in the room. I checked my email messages every day. I also shared for my friends many photos taking in Beijing. The food was wonderful with reasonable prices, and we enjoyed several local dish. It is such great hotel that I would like to recommend it to any friend of me who is going to Beijing.

    As summer vacation are coming soon, my classmates are trying very hardly to get train tickets to go home.     I am good at English and always get high marks in English test. Last month, an English speech contest held in our school. I take part on behalf of our class. Proud of my excellently English, I ignored my teacher's advice but didn't prepare for the contest at all. The important day came in. When it was my turn, I walked onto a stage confidently.     A young couple bought a big house from two sisters, whom bought it at low price. However, winter wasn't far away at the time. The couple were a little bit worrying about how they would keep the house warm, though it didn't have any fireplaces. But later, they thought that if the sisters were able to stay warm and comfortably in the house during the winter, so could they.

    Winter arrived and temperatures soon drops below zero. The large house became freezing cold, with frost covered the walls. Finally, the husband couldn't bear with it anymore. She called to ask the sisters how they managed to keep warm during the winter. “The cold weather never bothered us,” one of the sister told the husband. “We just went on vacation to Thailand every winter.”

    One Saturday morning, I suddenly noticed my room was in a completely mess, what really annoyed me. I realized too many useful things took up a lot of space. So I decided to throw it away and do some cleaning. It took me a whole day get all the works done. Finally the room was tidy again and everything was in the order.

    This was also true for life: we add more and more to our life, hoped to get a better life. But sometimes the more we add, the bad our life becomes. After all, sometimes less is more.
