Hello, I am Peter. Yesterday was Sunday. I walked to my grandpa's home. It was his birthday. I bought (要) many fruit and a big cake in the morning. My grandpa and grandma liked them very much. My mother cooked the lunch. We had a good time.

    Ben and Jim are twin brothers. They are nine. They are pupils. They study in Yuxin Primary School. They are in the same class. Everyday they go to school and come back together.

    Their teacher, Mrs. Green, says to the pupils. Please write a composition (作文) 'My Mother'.

    The Chinese New Year is a very important holiday for the Chinese people. It falls on a different date each year and lasts 15 days. Days before the New Year, every family is busy giving its house a thorough cleaning. ~They decorate the doors and windows with paper-cuts and put lanterns around their houses. On the Eve, all the family members come together to have a big dinner. It is a feast. After dinner, it is time for the whole family to sit up for the night. They play card games or watch TV programs. Next morning, people all dress in their best clothes. Children greet their parents or grandparents and get their gifts of money in red envelops. Then the family start out to say greetings from door to door.

    Tomorrow is Sunday. Mr Brown, Mrs. Brown and their two sons are going to take a train to Hangzhou. Mr Brown is going to buy the train tickets for them. They are going to take an early train. The first train leaves Shanghai for Hangzhou at 6:00 a. m. This is their first visit there. Now Mrs Brown is looking at the map of Hangzhou. They are going to visit many interesting places. They'll have a good time. So their sons are very happy.

    Jill, Mike, Tom and Lucy are good friends. Jill, Mike, Tom are boys.

    Lucy is a girl. Jill likes playing ping -pong. Mike like swimming very much. Lucy likes singing. Tom likes playing on the computer and writing letters to his friends.

    I'm Lily. I live in a big house. My bedroom is yellow. It's beautiful. My mother's bedroom is nice. It's blue. Our kitchen is clean. It's white. Our bathroom is grey. It's clean, too. There is a living room. It's very big. It's green.
