Young people and older people don't always agree with each other. They sometimes have {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  ideas about work and life. But in one special program in New York State, adults and teenagers live together in a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  way.

      Each summer 200 teenagers and 50{#blank#}3{#/blank#}  live and work together for eight weeks as a group. Everyone works several hours each day. Some teenagers work in the forest or on the farms. Some learn to make things like tables and chairs and build houses. The adults {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  them theses skills.

      There are several free hours every weekday. Weekends are free, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . During the free hours, some of the teenagers learn photo taking or painting. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} sit around and talk or sing. Each teenager chooses his own way to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} his free time.

      When people live together, rules are necessary, In this program the teenagers and the adults make the rules together. If someone breaks a {#blank#}8{#/blank#} , the problem is brought to the whole group. They talk about it and ask, “How did it happen? {#blank#}9{#/blank#}  should we do about it?”

      One of the teenagers says about his experience, “{#blank#}10{#/blank#}  stop thinking only about yourself. You learn to think about the group.”

    Emma is very busy in the moming. She gets up at half past five. After brushing her teeth, she {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. She usually does sports for thirty minutes. Next, she helps to make breakfast. At half past six, she eats breakfast. For breakfast Emma usually has bread and milk. She{#blank#}2{#/blank#} eats hamburgers. Hamburgers are unhealthy. Emma needs a healthy {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. After breakfast she{#blank#}4{#/blank#} her room. Then she goes to school. Emma usually{#blank#}5{#/blank#}to school. She says walking is good for her.
